This mod adds a new era, aimed to be, feel and play like EA's battlefront II; with new units, heroes, vehicles, starfighters and custom maps for each star wars era. Campaign, Conquest, Space Assault, Hero Assault and Hunt modes are supported. This mod is a direct follow up to my older GCW-1035 mod, which was heavily improved and expanded upon.

Gameplay-wise, this mod is fun! This is definitely one of the best SWBF2 mods in a really long time, and it captures the spirit of the EA game's gameplay really well! Great job!

Played a few rounds, and I am really enjoying this first version, the classes are all interesting and remain useful trough all the match, the sounds are nice and I really like the random skin for the clones (even tough the 41st camo seems out of place in maps like Geonosis or Coruscant). The only suggestion I have, is to nerf the orbital bombardment, since heavy vehicles like the AT-TE stop being a threat when it can be killed instantly by a sniper.

you managed to combine the best of the two games and created a work of art. I would easily place it as one of my favorites! however, I missed some things.

jump and shoot (I know it sounds silly, but I love to see a mod with that aspect. mainly because I’ve never seen another mod, accept this as a challenge, not a requirement, okay?)

sentry gun: I think it would be more interesting to have a chaingun than a tower

overloaded weapons: do you know the death troper and wookie warrior skill that works like a rage mode? so, I think it would be cool

Commando droid: although the droideka is very cool, it has a very high mobility problem, and this is mitigated by the droid command which, although not so strong, has much better mobility

thermal skills: although looking through walls does not seem so useful, as the minimap already does, I think it would be really cool. take this as a challenge too ok?

most of these things will probably be available in the following versions, but I thought it best to put it here

something that I didn’t like hero assault, and that heroes use force skills all the time, especially anakin. It is very frustrating that they keep throwing you around and around, and I realized that this seems to be unbalanced or hero assault

anyway, this mod is really fun! I followed this mod from the beginning. and it's really cool to see it finally being released. I hope you find this comment cool and I am waiting for more news for this mod!

Thank you for the feedback, keep in mind that some of the things you asked for, like jumping and shooting and seeing through walls are not possible in bf2 2005.

I was referring to Anakin's Remastered 1.5, but a fellow modder tested it and he says it works fine.

Harrisonfogg's Remaster is compatible.

Hiya Delta! I'm enjoying af this mod, it's really awesome. it really feels like 2017s bf2. just there's an issue i have, which...has me wondering if it's just me or anyone else has reported it. in age of republic, jet trooper and jump droid's rocket launcher doesn't appear, nor shoot. the soldier is there holding nothing visible, and when i fire nothing flies or explodes. same issue in age of rebellion, but adding assault soldier's blaster rifle, officer's pistol and specialist's sniper rifle; either rebels or imperials. what can i do about this?
otherwise, this is incredible, please please help me

i havent encountered that, perhaps u have the award rocket launcher unlocked? u could try making a new profile and see if that fixes it

That's is the issue I was having with Remastered 1.5, however it seems to not cause the same problem to other people. I had to unistall and reinstall the game, since Remastred 1.5 can not be unistalled by itself. That is why I wrote that I can not assure 100% compatibility with Anakin's Remastered.

just played this mod for 5 hours straight today. definitely one of my favorite mods already if not my favorite. i haven't played eafront 2 so im speaking purely based on my experience from your mod.

i love the units so much, every class is useful. i rarely play the sniper class but in this mod it's very fun to play as ( although as previously stated by someone else the orbital strike needs a nerf because it can destroy an ATAT walker with just one click ) . i never play as the wookie warrior because they feel too slow and weak on other mods but in this mod they are very useful. i love how tanky they are, their health and weapons are perfect as they are.the heavy trooper's secondary weapon, the grenade launchers, might also need a buff in my opinion. i haven't got a single kill using it even on tight spaces but maybe thats just me using it wrong haha. might be fun for the isb agent to have a melee ability where it's like a clone assasin's melee ( ayla secura's move set ) from mods like clone wars extended if that makes sense.

the difficulty is also great , some might complain that it's on the harder side, but i think it's perfect as it is. makes it feel like an actual online multiplayer experience with real good players instead of bots.

i love that you've released version 1.0 as polished as it is and with all the stock maps playable right away ( excluding the space maps ofcourse ). this mod feels like a passion project with the way that its being handled and improved upon. can't wait for what version comes next delta! 10/10 mod, would play again tomorrow for 5 hours.

So that's the issue that exists with remastered? :( Damn, I'm so sorry. Will this be addressed for future updates in order to get solved? I really love this and it'd be such a pity bc remastered is also one of my favorite mods, and wouldn't wanna see myself forced to choose between one another.

hey I already tried it, definitely an incredible mod, the models are very well made (my favorites are the arc troopers and clone commandos) and it's also super fun, I played all afternoon and I would have continued playing but I was very sleepy xd

Btw are you going to add a skin changer for the future updates?

Hi there, I've followed you're mods since you first posted and I've got to say: Good work.

I give this mod my formal declaration of Best Mod for Star Wars Battlefront II 2005. Even in it's early stages, this has risen above the rest. However, I do have a few bugs to report, and a few ideas (If I may):

BUGS:

1. Some vehicles like AT-ST and the clone tank are unable to be drove by the player. Im not sure if this is a bug or just unfinished content as you can ride the AAT but nothing else

2. As Yoda, you're unstoppable (Even more so), because you're so small no one can hit you. So maybe its unfinished content or intentional, but I personally think it needs to be fixed.

3. Any Hero with Force Push has a 3 second delay from the actual click to the in-game push. Some even need to be clicked twice.

IDEAS:

1. NERF THE BLASTER DAMAGE TO VEHICLES! I took out an AT-ST in 2 rounds (cooldowns) from just my A280 Blaster. This applies double to the ARC trooper and the ISB Agent, who use two pistols. Their charge up makes them like a rocket.

2. As pointed out before, the Orbital Strike. God, its fun to use, but far, far too OP.

3. Im sure that you're adding it, but to reinforce it: Age of Rebellion & Age of Republic on all maps.

4. In you're upcoming Age of Resistance update (Excited), please do not make Rey (Or any hero!) a Marie Sue in video game terms. It's bad enough she's already ruined the Sequels, she doesn't need to go ruining this great mod too!

1-You can enter vehicles only with the 4 base classes (assault, heavy, officer and sniper), the reinforcement classes can not. This is by design and will stay like this.

2-The fact that Yoda is small and hard to hit isn't really something I added, it's the same size as the vanilla version.

3-Force powers work fine with no delay for me, I'm not sure what's happening to you

4-I'LL CHECK BLASTER DAMAGE TO VEHICLES BUT I DON'T THINK IT'S THAT OP AND THE CHARGED UP PISTOLS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE EFFECTIVE AGAINST VEHICLES ANYWAY

5-I've already nerfed the orbital strike in my developer build, it will be a lot less powerfull in the next release

6-There is going to be only one era per each planet, that's to resemble DICE's game and to let players have different era mods installed without my mod taking all the space

7-All the stats of this mod are based on DICE's stats, Rey won't be god like

Thanks for previous responses, Delta. As you said, I reinstalled the game and added the mods I had but without remastered and it works perfectly! I'm enjoying it to the full point now, and wanted to praise your work like it deserves. It's pretty much like EAs BF2 for us who don't have it, and brings the game's spirit quite well. As side suggestions, I'd say that though enforcers like wookie warrior and death trooper should have a disadvantage in terms of movement, maybe try to make them not thaaaaat slow since it gets pretty uncomfortable. If its like that to remain like vainilla, then so be it. Also wanted to ask if in future updates, all reinforcements would be in both Age of Republic and Age of Resistance. "All reinforcements" meaning adding the commando droid for CIS, the wookie for Republic, ovisian gunner and caphex spy for Resistance, and flametrooper for the First Order. Didn't mention sigh trooper, fo jet trooper or resistance rocket jumper since you've already shown wips of them :v

Thank you for the feedback, glad you got it to work fine. No plans on adding the wookiee to the republic or the droid commando, i'll stick with 7 units per team for now. I've not started working on the resistance reinforcements yet, but the flametrooper has been done for some time now.

First of all I absolutely love this mod, your previous gcw-1035 mod used to be my favorite because you always captured having every class be useful and very playable. This mod blows it out of the water and it is such an amazing mod and I think that it was the most enjoyable mod I've played. I did run into one issue though and it's that sometimes when I'm playing as any character and the hero becomes unlocked, it instantly takes you to the option of being them so then you have to respawn as your character every time that happens. Thank you for your hard work on this mod and I hope you can look into this problem

Thank you for your comment, I myself see this mod as an all around upgrade to GCW-1035. I've never had this hero issue you are reporting and I'm not really sure I understand what is the problem. However, there is nothing I can do about hero spawns since they are setup just like vanilla.

Great job, Delta. It's a really ambitious mod and it's awesome that it's finally out there. While many people complain about being able to play only one era per map, I actually like the idea - I think it makes both eras feel like a part of one mod. Personally, I'm not a fan of how EA's SWBF2 has Clones from so many legions mixed (I think that they should have come up with something along the lines of CommanderAwesome's Skin Changer Mod), but the way you implemented the concept is interesting. If it's to stay this way, I'd ask if you could slightly increase the amount of time before the skins recycle. Sometimes I found myself spawning with a different skin than the one I thought I would spawn with. I also hope that we'll be able to play your era with custom maps, such as Marvel4's Conversion Pack, in the future releases. All in all, I'm really impressed with what you did with this mod and I'm going to spend more time playing it as soon as I'm done with my university stuff.

I LOVE this mod. It's such an epic mod, and I'm loving the gameplay changes. A few things I would like to point out:

1. When using the AI hero mod, the rebel and imperial commanders don't reference Han by name in maps where he spawns, but say generic "A leader is commanding our forces" lines. Is there any way you can fix this?

2. Speaking of Han, I'd suggest changing the selectable heroes in Jabba's Palace since that map has Han encased in carbonite, so you have two Hans in the map. It just seems weird and doesn't make sense.

3. Why exactly is Grievous not playable in HvV? It would only make sense and make things a bit more fair for him to be there.

4. Is there any chance you could add HvV to more maps? Would love to have it available on all the stock maps.

5. Can you give the Separatists their commando droids? I'd love to see how you handle those in this mod.

6. Can you add in more heroes to the game, like Chewie, Lando, Bossk, and Iden?

7. Can we get some space battles? I'd imagine you could do some AWESOME stuff with space combat.

I'm glad you like the mod. I've already adressed most of the points you made here.

1-I already fixed that for the upcoming version

2-We'll see about that

3-Grievous isn't in HvV because there's too many heroes with custom animations, adding one more crashes the game. Atm I've taken out Iden and replaced her with Grievous

4-We'll see, but probably not

5-I'm sticking with 7 units per team to make it consistent and I don't want to give the republic wookiees

6-All heroes you mentioned are already in the mod and playable... if you are mentioning HvV you should have noticed that

7-Space maps have been planned from the start and are already almost complete, those will be available in the next update

Hey Delta i've been playing your mod for 2 whole days again and i have some comments. You previously stated that there would only be one era per planet as to resemble DICE's game, but have you considered adding the Age of Rebellion on Polis Masa instead of the Age of Republic?

I'm finding myself enjoying the Age of Rebellion more and the Wookie Warrior and Ewok Hunter have become my favorite units to play as. I feel like both of these units are much more enjoyable in tight corridor centered maps. And since Polis Masa is not in DICE's i think it would not conflict with the concept of only having specific eras in maps as they are in DICE's. And I know that i might be pushing my luck here haha, but i think this can also be made in the case of Mustafar. (Although i'm not counting on Mustafar but still)

Also i find the Death Star unplayable as of the moment. Each death removes 2 reinforcement count instead of 1 and winning is damn near impossible haha. I know this issue is also present in other mods and i was hoping maybe you could fix it because the Death Star is one of my favorite maps and as i said i like playing the Age of Rebellion and this map having this issue is very unfortunate.

Would also love to see Chewbacca made as a hero. As Lando is in Yavin, I think Chewbacca would be great if he was in Cloud City.

Lastly speaking of Cloud City, do you plan on adding compatibility with Bespin Cloud City in future updates? Cloud City just makes sense as it is also in DICE's. HvV on Bespin would also be great because idk, I've always thought the Cloud City layout would be perfect for a Hero Assault mode. (maybe hero assault is too much to ask but regular conquest is definitely a must in my opinion)

Whatever your choices for this mod would be, i'd understand. This is your vision afterall i just wanted to offer my own thoughts and what i think could be added. Great mod still!

I get you like to play as certain units in thight corridors, but I'm sticking with CW in both Polis Massa and Mustafar since they appeared in RotS.

I've never seen a bug like that on the Death Star, I don't think it's happening to me and I have no problem winning. You said you have it for other mods as well, so it's more likely a problem in your side.

Chewbacca is already a playable hero in the mod, in HvV and it will the hero for Dagobah in the next update along with Boosk.

I'm working on adding support for custom maps, that is planned to be included not in the next update, but in the one after that as an expansion pack - and Bespin will be one of the supported maps for sure.
