That would be pretty sweet! Totally doable. WE HAVE THE TECHNOLOGY. WE CAN REBUILD THEM.
DICE should definitely take notes from this team! Even if they were originally inspired by your team, unfortunately many things haven't been implemented in the BF1 which are in this mod (correct WW1 weapons, bots, map variety and many more).

That's what they said, but unfortunately you are absolutely right with this. Battlefield 1 had a huge potential, but since the EA care only about money (and unfortunately DICE too) its nowhere so good like it could be. Only the DICE LA is doing some good things with the CTE (or at least they were doing to the BF4 and I hope that they will do it for the BF1 too).
The modding community is the our only hope now, not driven by money but instead driven by passion and love
My thoughts exactly! I have played BF3 and BF4 only last year since I don't care about the new titles. Unfortunately, after BF2142 it all went downhill (expect BC series, which was good, but nowhere so great like the first games).
I'm really glad that we have the Modding community since they have been improving and fixing this game (+ other Refractor Battlefield games) from the beginning.

all this needs to literally blow BF1 outa the water proverbially speaking is proper 1st and 3rd person animations for the players, emplacement crews, & open top vehicle crews/passengers along with slightly higher poly infantry weapon models with actual iron sights and realistic reload mechanisms / animations.
Do that and this mod alone will decimate BF1s player base "kill that abomination" especially if you implement a game mode similar to rush / operations with 128 player servers now that would be epic 0_0
This mod needs armored locomotives with AI bots
Hell just stick it in a map with bots and just let the player drive the locomotive while the bots do the turrets

Funny that a Mod made for free is better than a AAA title for 60$ base, 50$ season pass and microtransactions.
Battlefield 1918's campaign is better than Battlefield 1
the only thing redeemable as concepts in BF1 is operations and front-lines game modes or or derivatives of them.
Implementing something like that while retaining the classic BF 1918 style of faction specific weapons, vehicles, and gear would be interesting IMHO especially with 128 player servers.
Damn, excited as ****, I hope this update goes well for you folks, just one question though, will you guys eventually remake this for "BF2"? I know it sounds far-fetched, but I think It'll expand the possibilities for new mechanics and more detailed maps. Nonetheless, I bid you all good luck on this amazing modification. :)
