There's no better way to celebrate the leap year than with guns. Last month we showcased the new TC9N Machine pistol, M2020 Gauss Rifle, and the lever-action Longhorn.
This month we'll be focusing on two realistic entries made by some very skilled developers!
This here's the PUMA-77 Heavy SMG, which some of you may recognize as the UMP-45. This excellent model was made and textured by the talented Luchador. We almost guarantee that you'll be able to beat people to a pulp with this hunk of a gun. Additionally, it may or may not fire powerful plasma based ammunition instead of .45 HV! Our fickle code-based minds can be easily swayed, so let us know what you'd like to see in the comments!
The MJ51 Carbine is the second gun we'd like to showcase, and boy is it an interesting one! You may be thinking "By George, that looks just like the M50/M4A1/M30A2!", and it most certainly does! This great looking gun was modeled by Sephiris and textured by Agent95, (with some minor edits for UT04's engine). Unlike the fancy-pants M50 however, this gun trades its grenade launcher and camera display for a massive rifle grenade and accurate burst fire.
Speaking of rifle grenades, why should they be limited to just being on guns? The MOA-C rifle grenade pictured here will explode whether you throw it by hand or stick it in your fancy MJ51. Additionally, why should you be limited to just throwing your grenades? This thing's got a handle right? Go smack somebody with it! Don't worry, we won't tell. (Just don't go suing us when your hands blow off.)

When I saw the first two weapons, I literally made a "squee" sound.
Completely involuntarily.
As for the PUMA-77, I think it should fire some sort of hybrid energy/ballistic rounds. Like, either using a combination of ultra-modern gunpowder and energy cells to fire, or using energy cells to fire a ballistic round.
Sort of like the assault rifle from Red Faction Guerrilla.
Either that, or fire a pretty powerful modern .45 round, probably armor-piercing. Or maybe have that same kind of expensive nano-sped ballistic round system like the M-99 ECS?
Also, it should totally come with a folding vertical foregrip.
And maybe a reflex sight. Y'know, the kind that look like little scopes?
And maybe a detachable silencer. Which is kind of a must, since it's a .45Cal gun.

Speaking of .45Cal guns, you should totally make a modern Tommy Gun. Y'know, the kind with a recoil compensator, and a built-in forward pistol grip? Maybe have a separate version with a black paint job, and drum mags, but no recoil compensator?
You could have it released by the Classic Weapon Industries, or whatever they're called.
Maybe call the other version (possibly not by CWI? Maybe by B&W?) the T-VX, for Tommy (gun), Version X. Have one of those fights between a modern version and a futuristic version, like with the ECS (I think that they made it) AH204 (I think it was) versus the DE.50 by CWI.
Haha, PUMA with laser bullets (hybrid bullets that somehow use more or less conventional means plus sci-fi trickery to make bullets of another flavor). I've been annoying the hell out of Sgt. Kelly last week for them. :P
Of course they were already planned, but that's besides the point. Just tell him you want MOAR LASER BULLETS. He'll love you for it.
Yeah! LASER BULLETS! It'd be, like, a normal round, that's propelled by an energy explosion instead of gunpowder, so it, like, has a blue muzzle flash, goes more "pew" than "dak", and has a higher muzzle velocity w/ faster rounds!
Pure genius.
I'm totally looking forward to the AK-490. And the MJ51. More assault rifle choices is better.
Besides, I hate all of the other ones...
M50 doesn't seem to like me very much, M30A1 jumps all over the Goddamn place, CYLO weapons are beyond my control, the SAR is more of a SMG anyway, and the Skrith weapons are laser guns and I like my guns to say "bang", "dak" and, of course, "boom".
Also, T9CN "Hammer". Yey.
I also hope the Longhorn is just a shotgun with FRAG-Shot and not some sort of grenade-launching, shotgun-type...thing.
Sorry, but we got enough shotguns and not enough grenade launchers. :P
Its a grenade launcher. Cluster grenade launcher.
Aw. But...How can it launch a cluster of grenades with a barrel that isn't large enough to launch ONE? It sounds like it is or should be essentially a shotgun firing a smaller amount of comically explosive buckshot.
It launches one rather large cluster grenade that explodes into 6 small grenades for primary fire. For alt fire it somehow (I think its either magic or an in-barrel explosion) bypasses the main grenade to directly launch those 6 small clusters bouncing buckshot style.
Also I'm not really sure what you mean about its barrel not being large enough to launch one? This thing has a barrel quite a bit larger than a 12-gauge shotgun (and there are of course 12-gauge grenades in real life).
