About the RC DeLorean Thread - Back to the Future: Hill Valley mod for Grand Theft Auto: Vice City

So I was wondering, if you take remote control of a DeLorean and make it time travel to like 5 minutes in the future, will it reappear in the same spot if you just wait around for 5 minutes? And if you are in 1986 and send it to 11:30 am in 1987, and then you take another DeLorean to 11:28am 1987 and wait around, will the RC one still appear?

I think DeLorean said that you can only send one DeLorean through time at a time, so if you sent one to 1987 you'd actually have to wait for 1987 for it to appear, you wouldn't be able to spawn another one until then

no. if you sent it to, say, 7:00 1987, it will still reappear at the next 7:00. you wont have to wait a year. the year doesn't matter. he will be setting a limiter on it anyway so you don't accidentally send it 24 hours into the future and have to wait a day for it to return.

lol that would be a pain but you always got somthing to do when its finshed eh?

Also, does the gameplay stop to show a time travel cut scene as if you were in the car, or do the time travel effects (both entry and re-entry) happen while you still have control of the game?

I noticed that you have to "RC" the Delorean again at re-entry to control it or it will drift off and slow to a stop. Is there any way to change this?

More people prefer this way. Allows you to do cool stuff like get out of the way. If you want control, hold down shift tab when the explosions come and when it comes, you'll get control.

hi, when i try to use it, it crashes my game. when i hit Shift-Tab and then tab again, it says
unhandled exception c0000006

and it does this every time?

everytime if kitt isnt near.

speaking of kitt, i fixed his spawn so that doesn't happen anymore. He just appears behind you if he isn't already nearby.

Into the police centre, so he can't get out. I tried to use CarStat editor, but it tells, that it can't get into handling.cfg. Did you block that?

didn't block handling. You have to be in landbased deloreans.

What if your delorean is stolen, when you're out? Maybe even make a bttf-the ride style side mission, for example you come to doc, and while you talk, someone hilacks the Dmc, so you have to take the other delorean, or a train to chase him down.

Easy. Use the remote control to override the controls. No bttf ride-esque stuff. As much as I enjoyed that ride, the concepts are hard to believe. So no bttf ride stuff besides IFT. If you have a problem, i'll be happy to delete your posts.
