Axanar: Strategic Operations is a mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion that totally converts it to the universe of the recent fan movie Axanar, based on star trek.
I do not really know what exactly it is, but there is something bothering me about his model... it is kind of a wannabe Constitution class... maybe the saucer section is too thick... I mean, of couse, props to killabc for his great work, it looks, as always way too detailed for a regular mod, I just wanted to bring in some constructive criticism
'Tis ain't no regular mod, peasant! Kneel before our overlords and beg for mercy to speak such atrocities!
And yeah, I find the comparison of the first generations of the VW Golf with the latter of the 2000s fitting in this matter. Not a beauty, but somehow iconic and maybe even classic at some point. I always think of the Asia-class as a tank-like vessel, with an outward appearance of a bunker floating in space.
It can be considered, in some ways, a proto-Constitution. However, wait until you can do a side by side comparison of the two - you'll see the differences clear as day.
She does! It's just that this is on the light side and because they are not the strongest lights in the world. You can see them a lot better when you click on view original.
Looks fantastic! Are you planning on using a lot of ships from the Starfleet Museum? I've always been a huge fan of that little site, and it would be pretty cool to see Penguin or the Aryhabbata (the primitive ancestor or the Sabre?) in-gamme.

It's a stage of the evolution of starship design, a step on the road to the Constitution class.
Exactly
You should see her in-game. She's a perdy one.

It's probably the FoV, Sins has a weird FoV when you zoom n quite close to the ships. She is dead on proportion to the orthos.

I would have to say that the saucer section is a little bit too thick.

It's just the FoV in the Sins, you can see the effect on the Daedalus in this picture: Media.moddb.com
All she needs now is lit windows on the neck and engineering section.
