France is now a major world power, rivaling the British, with a major military alliance that spans most of western Europe, serving as a shield against any threats that Prussia might make.
Austria, a once glorious empire in central and eastern Europe, was shattered by the European Defense Commitee, and Otto von Habsburg was couped by a democratic group that wishes to negotiate with the EDS and return their territories.
