May I ask what exactly is the point of physical currency in the game? And on an even bigger note, why can't you actually exchange currency for its actual value? Like, why can you exchange a 200 UAH note for only 170 of useable UAH currency, and not 200?

There are 3 currency in game UAH (Ukrainian hryvnia), RUB (Russian roubles) and USD (American dollars). Each faction pay for tasks or have one native currency. Knowing which one is their currency, you can gain some cash by exchanging with them 1:1. In this Zone no internet or sattelite connection, so internet transactions aren't working. That's why all trading use cash.
