AR2 is one of the oldest mods in the C&C community, with the last official release taking place in 2004. AR2's storyline takes place on a planet known as Atrigo wherein two factions, the Nemesis and the Genesis, battle each other for their own survival. The original mod team's design emphasis was to make the two sides as distinctive and diverse from each other as possible. AR2 was originally designed by modders from now defunct Derelict Studios -- I am not the original creator of this mod. This project does not currently have sanction from any original AR2 team members. If you are a member of the original AR2 team, please feel free to reach out.

I've only played the original and that was really good for it's time I guess it was one of the few futuristic mods that had some creativity and sides that actually felt UNIQUE unlike many mods made nowadays so this score is very well deserved

A blast from the past, and I'm saying this while not encountering it previously. The design is from the simpler times of personal mods and it can be seen all throughout the mod - in artwork, voxel designs, soundscape and so on. And at the same time, it has many interesting ideas and tries hard to detach itself completely from the C&C lore and set design decisions. And while it's a bit amateurish looking in some regards, the soul and passion of this mod is clearly felt and undeniable.

Also, I am completely captivated by this mod's lore. The world crafted here also suffered the Scrin invasion, but reacted quite differently and in the end it became really unhuman and uncanny in it's atmosphere - one side so desperate to save the race from another invasion sacrifices almost everything that means to be that race, while the other almost completely looses itself to the survival hardships, madness of vengeance and cruelty of doctrine that also becomes quite inhumane. Top shelf stuff.
