Description
The Soothsayer is a creature native to the Dreamsleeve, ceaselessly roaming in search for souls, sustaining itself off consuming the being of those less fortunate. The Soothsayer is said to hold onto the memories of all the beings it subsumes.
While capable at close range, the Soothsayer relies heavily on the school of Illusion, preferring to bend the mind and will of their opponents at a comfortable range.

It's a book detailing the fates of mankind into the distant future. Very cosmic horror esque. I can see why Esparado87 thought you might have been inspired by it.
