This is a full download of version two of this mod. It contains new features and is easier to get up and running. This is a ZIP archive, which usually won't need any special software to open. To install, simply extract the "aperture_ireland" folder into your SteamApps/sourcemods folder, like you would any other mod.
System Requirements:
- Portal 2 (installed and runnable)
Installation Instructions:
Open the ZIP file and extract the folder into your sourcemods directory. On Windows, this is probably C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\sourcemods or C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\sourcemods. On GNU/Linux, it is probably ~/.local/share/Steam/SteamApps/sourcemods. I'm not sure about on Mac OS X, but it shouldn't be too hard to find.
Changelog:
- The mod now comes preloaded with HL2 and Portal 1 assets it requires, so there are no extra installation steps. I trust you to play nice though, and not download/play this unless you own those games! This also gave me a chance to remove some more bloat.
- Advanced Chambers 10, 13 and 17 are now available.
- The ending video has been completely re-recorded, so now the audio quality is much better.
- The length of the credits has been further adjusted to make certain entries more readable.
Known issues: (Solutions welcome, but searching for them has yielded no results)
- The chapter thumbnails still don't show up.
- On OpenGL versions of the game, the monitors screw up while the AI is speaking. If I still had my original VMFs I probably would have been able to do something about this. As it is though, use your imaginations! Enough things are screwed up around Aperture Ireland in-universe, this can be another one!
Final note:
I was hoping the change to SteamPipe would make Portal 1's and HL2's assets usable directly in Portal 2 mods, but unfortunately the Source 2013 and Portal 2 VPK formats remain different. Therefore, assets unfortunately still had to be copied, but at least I'm no longer asking the user to do that with crude tools!
To find the sourcemods folder on mac, you go to library/application support/steam/sourcemods
I've never run a mod from the SourceMods folder before. How do I play it?
Its quite simple, the mod should show up in ur steam library when you restart steam. just run it.

Before even having the files on my computer; would it be possible to provide a torrent download for this? It's extremely tedious to download files of this size on a slow and unreliable internet connection as mine. It can be interrupted at any time and will usually take so long that I can't use my computer for anything for half a day because of how it eats up all my possible download speed while still being extremely slow.

Sad that I wasted 1.6GB of my unlimited data to download this 1998 version of Portal. Nice try though.
