This mod attempts to reflect the reality of 13th century Europe. The starting point of the journey is year 1257 AD and attempts to be as historically accurate as possible. From this point on the player and NPC lords shape this land and fight for supremacy and control of the continent.

Main installer for Anno Domini 1257, version 1.1. Warband version 1.158 or higher is required.

what I've got when play this mod are,
- Faction Names, units (merc,regular) changes
That's for now, maybe you can add things I couldn't notice

May I again suggest a change I did a while ago? Kingdom of Hungary does NOT own the country today known as romania. It just owns Transylvania. You should add 2 other allied factions: Wallachia and Moldova, they were Romanian states and they did exist back then, Hungary didn't own all of Romania. Please be more accurate.
They haven't existed. Later they did as vassals of K.o. Hungary. More accurate would be Pechenegs or Cumans for that region in that time.
wrong. pechenegs (end of the 9th century) were defeated by the cumans around 1060-1080 who were later defeated by the mongols on the kalka river in 1223. some parts of romania were indeed under hungarian vasality. stop assuming start researching.

Hi! Can you split the download in parts(like 200mb parts) cuz my internet connection is so crappy that the download fails about halfway.
Or via torrent. Either way I'm eager to try it out.

For those asking if the new 1257 ad update works with 1.166- it does!
But it turned out to be not save game compatible as I kept getting shaders, errors, etc constantly(one of the save games where i could not even move on the map) so no more being an Emperor of most of Europe for me, but I was getting tired of that game anyways ;D
If you have the latin names...I know it can be annoying so just unpack the en folder in languages folder in 1257 ad mod folder and you will live the life you want to live- 1257 ad mod all day after work with your girl on your lap making hot pockets ;P

Hi guys, I download this installer then install the mod and i see the file but it does not come up on the M+B launcher? I have restarted my computer. My computer is a HP Pavillion Touchsmart.

Scroll Up when you press on the arrow then you will see scroll then scroll up and you shall see it i didnt notice myself eather !! :)
Thank you for the reply, it does not have the scroll option I tried, but I figured it out on my own. All I had to do was install an alternate launcher, I installed crpg and used that launcher to launch 1267AD. Also it may have been a virus but my computers hard drive crashed while playing 1257AD.
