I did everything right, but when I click on "Through the Portal" I see the black screen pop up and I even see the amnesia icon in my toolbar but it says "FATAL ERROR: Could not init steam". Does anyone have a solution to this? Thank you.

Unfortunately I seem to have a problem launching it! I placed all the files in my Amnesia: The Dark Descent folder, but when I open the .bat file, I only get an error message...
"FATAL ERROR: Could not init steam!"
I've had some similar problems with full convertion mods earlier, and I was hoping that someone maybe had any suggestions as to what I could do! :)
So I downloaded the mod and installed as instructed, but there seems to be some missing textures for the skybox outside. A gray spot in the sky and the horizon seems to be out of place. I think the newest update may be the cause for this, well not new for say but the last one well over a year ago. I doubt there's a fix but if anyone has a solution let me know :D
