VERSION 1.1 RELEASED - All the bugs (hopefully..) fixed!

Update log:

⇾︎ Fixed the "This door has no keyhole" showing up when interacting with a wrong door (i'm an idiot)

⇾︎ Fixed random slamming noises occuring when coming back to the main map from Study & Quarters

⇾︎ Rewrote the beginning memento to prevent possible confusion

⇾︎ Fixed the collision callback in the Attic entry point- now the only way to get into the Attic is to click it (thanks for Kirammortal for pointing this out)

⇾︎ Completely redesigned the enemy encounter in the library

All three hidden books guide

Finding all three hidden books are required to achieve 100% completion of The Chosen Ones.

Book #1 (these are in chronological order)

The first book is on the first shelf in the library room in the first map. It's the first room on the right when you go up the stairs. The book is at the highest shelf.

Book #2

On top of one shelf in the room with the saw in library- it's pretty easy to spot

Book #3

In the Quarters- take a turn to the first door in the right after entering the map. Go to the desk in that room and lean to the left side, and you'll find the last book.

i left my opinion in the reviews section.
bugs i found:
- when i left the attic a collision trigger in the hub spawnpoint sent me back to the attic area again? i tried leaving a second time and i was successful, it was weird.

- also the lever for the bookshelf that hides the saw has no confirmation whatsoever if i was successful in opening the connected mechanic. make a sound when the lever enters the right state!

keep working on mods, it was fun for the most part :)

Thank you for the review! Yeah, the collision thing in the attic was originally supposed to be that, but I later changed it to interact, obviously forgotting to remove it XD

It wasn't bad, but it lacks of scary atmosphere etc.

*Spoilers*: I could also just jump past the only monster ecounter and continue, making it not scary at all.

The mapping was the outstanding thing, the design as well as the lighting was good and I liked the ideas you had when creating the rooms. Also I like your music taste.
Your mods, in general, could be more challenging, scary (through a scary atmosphere, scary moments/situations etc.), interesting (unique ideas, unexpected events/plot twists) and maybe even longer (though that's not the most important thing(!)).

I believe you can do much better than that, even if it wasn't really bad or anything. It was entertaining though. :)

I find it depressing how the atposphere wasn't scary because it was the thing I worked on hardest :( But, it's okay :)
Yeah, it's true that the encounters might not be the hardest there is. In fact, *SPOILERS* There are only two encounters in the whole mod. I tried to pace them to not be there all the time, since I like to build up the immersion.

But I'm glad you still liked it. I'm already working on third mod, and for that I will take all these into consideration.

Np dude.
I would recommend you to take your time. Also you should try to get inspired by similar things, that way you can choose a direction much easier.
I believe you can do much better. :P

Ah, the scripts. The true nighmare of modders (who don't love scripting). xD
Maybe consider getting someone to work with you on the scripting? You could then focus more on the game? :)

Actually, for me the scripting is the most fun part in modding. I love how there are literally endless possibilites with it.

I won't get anyone to do the things I love the most to do :3 Also, I'll focus on the mod* :p

I also made a page to my third mod already, if interested. There I will make the best mod I'm able to do.
