UT2004 is now no longer the youngest but one of the best Ut. For this reason I have made a few improvements. The mod is in beta because it's not finished yet. I want to install some improvements when it is possible. Who here on new textures you false hopes here. The improvements are listed below.
- Higher resolution 1920x1080
- Sharper textures
- Improved light and shadow effects
- Higher quality figures
- More cache for the CORE
- Maximum details
- Anisotropy = 8
- Improved tessellation
NOTE: Some images not in accordance with the downloadable file these pictures were before creating the final or beta mod were created. To make it more visible you look at the video.

This "mod" provides too little; just the mip bias for textures turned to far negative values and "8x" anisotropic filtering (16x is the new normal, come on...) for those who don't know what a graphics card control panel is.
If you really want real tesselation in UT2004, get dgVoodoo2. Wraps the D3D8 renderer over to D3D12 for better stability for modern systems and revives the old ATI TruForm techology to allow tesselation when "UseNPatches" is enabled. There's also an option to use Phong-based shading over Gouraud, but I've had missing effects with it in other UE2 based games like Unreal II and Splinter Cell. Purely something to experiment with.
If you want to go even further, you can use ReShade to add post processing, antialiasing, and so on.
This isn't really a mod. Minor .ini tweaks + BloomUT = this.
for a patch fix this? I 3369 and constantly crashes with errors direct3d. Video memory 512MB or RAM 3GB.
Thank you for removing the earlier crashreport posted here. No idea what your goal is to do so..., but it does not solve anything.
The mod is incompatible with an increased level of gore.
