Alpha Project is a Battlefield 2 modification which goals are to bring back all the features that were left out in the retail game. The gameplay style of the mod is a mixture of arcade and realism.

There will be a slightley zoom in so you can focus on the ironsights, thats it...
Someone's made a 2km shot with a scoped .50, so it isn't out of the question, just highly unlikely, unless it's night vision.

Just asking will there be an animation for the HMG reloads? Its just ive never seen it done before and that 1p animation system is killer.
Nah, we'll stick with unlimited ammo for now lol, but it isn't using an animated system, its all just a trick, 1p hands attatched to the weapon's 1p model. The HMG turned out to have a 3p model, which saved lots of effort there, however it didn't have an ironsight, so I got the ironsight i made for the M249 SAW and placed it on there so it would line up correctly, then attatched the hands after weighting them to the 1p hands setup.
Won't this method cause problems if someone from the mec team enters the vehicle?

I really love that what you have done, you should be implemented to dice to just help them make them games RIGHT.
I thought that was some kind of the engine silly limitations idk, to render anything except weapon while using stationaries and stuff but that just shows up how much your mod was Needed.
BTW Suprising, the mod leader of the "Realism" mod is just about .. 14 years old by now, oh im getting to old...
Thank you, believe it or not it's just hands attached to the HMG 1p model, then the Hmmwv model edited so that it has a 1p. Nothing animated here, but at least the hands move with the 'recoil'.

Wondering what would happen if you would use the third person soldier model for first person? Maybe you could then see your feet like in BF3, that would be cool.
I thought about that, but it looks pretty gross, i've done some tests with cars in 3p where you can see the full body, its a nice feature but its too unstable i'd say and there are only 2 bones per hand pretty much

You've given me an interesting idea. Perhaps adding a 3p chase camera to the "duck" cam could work! It won't look perfect, but it's a nice concept.

That's really cool! But you should move both thumbs to that tab, because that's the trigger.
