Alpha Project is a Battlefield 2 modification which goals are to bring back all the features that were left out in the retail game. The gameplay style of the mod is a mixture of arcade and realism.

Thanks to BFRHYS alpha project will feature 1p hands for stationary mgs and jeeps! Inspired by battlefield 3 gameplay footage :)
Should "cool" be enough?
I've never thought about that you can't see your hands when your driving in vanilla bf2. But that's a really great addon!! I hope to see how this looks in game in some video soon. :D

I know right? They think too complicated, looking for the small unnoticeable details.
theres a good chance that this mod will be better than BF3 because they set the release date back to novemberish (that gives dice barely any time to make a good game) and theyre working with activision which is the worst game developers ever...so theres a chance that we will be playing this mod for years, You just defibulated battlefield 2 JONES....good job ;)

This and the fact that you already can see screens (bf3) of marines using m16a4 without even ironsight at the rear of the gun (GUN LACKING OF SIGHT? WTF?)
and they haven't said anything like " this is because we didnt made this on time" or stuff,
or the classes, dude i can believe into a trooper who is a support gunner issued with m249 and carries a at4 at his back because i saw such things happen but such things as medic class, and the fact that he is support gunner at same time or the way how the dice is unprofessional about even the weaopns calling something a "submachinegun carbine".
For me thats more annoying that all out of the bugs and glitches in Activisions titles (CoD2,WaW, BO)
i had to cut down this post in less than half, but yeah the new activision sucks aswell with that dlc thing... CD Project ftw why only they care about the gamers...
They are working against activision, not with them...
There's no back sights because it's an early build and devs tweeted that they will add them. There was no M249 shown till yet and the guy that gave you the at4 had a m16a4. Bad company was a spin off, nothing common with Bf2/3.

Yes those nasty dlc things were ugly enought and the Activision (wich rolled downhill) nowadays (unlike the time when they were doing ww2 tittles)
Sucks about the game details like weapons and stuff also.
Imo the old developers should be brought back!.
Just saying, sorry for offtopic, and THIS MOD i like because it tries to be accuracy about weapon and realism even a little bit so dont say crap like "if you want realism go to army" because thats an excuse for a softcore gamer who barely handles with mouse. I just pointed out my opinion so i hope that no one is going to start trolling me.
And to avoid misunderstandings - Ain't hater against dice, but i just hate such flaws in games wich are far worse than, i don't know fictional factions or stuff... They made their 3d sights still look 2d.

Clear, friendly gaming, without trolling, whining and fanboyism, just co-work and pleasure mixed with dedication and discipilne without ramboing and ruining the game with spammage and cheap kills - Thats what i dream of, and im hoping that when i will get some kind of new GFX i will be able to have such pleasure to play your mod.
BTW sorry for another offtopic but i'm going to ask, how many grenades the troops will be equipped with?

There's only one realism mod - Project Reality, and it's run by mature people and some of them with a military background, you better get your facts straight and not make a fool out of yourself...
