Hi everyone. After looking for mod which unlocks all the factions (or at least most of them) and could't find anything that works properly, I decided to to edit some files myself. This is my first mod, and it's not from scratch. In this mod you will be able to play as one of 46 factions of your own choosing! The factions are: Britain, France, Spain, Prussia, Savoy, Hannuver, Westphalia, Wurtemmberg, Bavaria, Saxony, Russia, Ottoman, Greece, Naples & Sicily, Papal States, Genoa, Georgia, Dagestan, Persia, Afganistan, Mamlukes, Barbary States, Morroco, Sweden, Denemark, Mughal, Martha, Panjab, Mysore, Portugal, United Provinces, Huron, Plains nations, Cherukee, Pueblo, Quebec, United States, Mexico, Gran Colombia, Curland, Venice, Poland, Knights of St John, Iroquois, Cremean and Austria. It's 6 turns per year.

The mod contains 2 different campaigns and it works well with Darthmod

Early campaign - 1700 - 1750 more or less, you will be able to play all none - emergent factions:

Late Campaign - 1821 - 1850 more or less, some countries were not independent anymore or stopped to be exist (the following factions are not playable in late campaign): New Spain, Luisiana, 13 Colonies, Inuit, Pirates.But the rest of the factions from the early campaign are playable also in the late campaign.

Afghanistan

Naples & Sicily


Other factions like Norway or Scottland are not playable due to historical accuracy, but can still emerge during the game.

The mod works with unit addon mod which you can also get here: Twcenter.net although it is included in the download.

Installation:

First make beckup of your current startpos.esf file. It is in your game installation folder\Data\Campaign\Main. Next, copy the downloaded startpos.esf to this folder and replace the old one. That's it!

NOTE! If you want the unit addon without the Darthmod, you MUST have TW mod manager. Put the mm653_textures_v5_2.pack file in your data folder and activate it with the mod manager. DO NOT PUT ANY OTHER UNIT ADDON MODS IN THE DATA FOLDER INCLUDING OTHER FILES FROM THE SAME ADDON, OR IT WILL CRASH!

For all those who want me to make the same mod for Napoleon Total War: I'm sorry, but I don't know how to mod Napoleon, it's a bit different system. I personally use the Great War mod for NTW because the Napoleonic wars can be made in my mod for ETW (more or less) if you take France and invade Egypt, Italy, Malta, Prussia and Russia. Besides, the Darthmod for NTW already has the option to play all factions, no need to make another mod for it anyway.

For a long time I wondered: Why so many factions are not playable? Why all the existing mods aree buggy\ don't have all the factions unlock at ones\ have non accurate historically skins? After a lot of searching with no perfect mod, when other people as well asked for help that never came, I decided to share my success with other players and give hope! I'm not a good modder, but still I edited some existing mods and features, combined it together and created the almost perfect mod. Now I'm waiting for reviews and requests, and if I can I will help everyone. For now you can enjoy my mod. In the new version there is no need for the mod manager! I recommend deleting the older version before installing the new one. You can also revert to vanilla before installing the mod in the manager, and then you won't need to use it anymore! I hope you enjoy playing it.

Well guys, thank you all for your comments! I'm sorry to tell you that I suspend any further development of the mod. I'm studying and have no time for modding anymore. There is a mod called "Empire Total Factions" in this link Twcenter.net(Last-updated-17-08-2011)
In this mod the church bug was fixed, and also the FOW bug (exclude pirates). I recommend this mod. The only real problem with this mod is you can't play with all the emergent factions on the same game, you have to choose one or some of them. Makes sence consider the historical factor, but still....
I took it one step further and used the mod manager to add the mod new skins (which you can find here) and I also added a file that removes the projectile traces. You don't have to open the manager every time you want to play, after the first time the game will run the addons automaticly, even if you switch factions in the launcher. I hope you will enjoy this mod as much as you enjoyed my mod, you all have my permission to edit my mod, but please upload and share with us.
