Alien Swarm is an overhead view tactical squad-based shooter for UT2K4. Set in the the distant future, the players take the role of a Commander in the Interstellar Armed Forces. They must guide their squad of marines through Swarm infested colonies, overrun bases and outposts, to achieve a variety of objectives.

I know the mod folder has to go into the UT 2004 directory, but what are the music and system folders for?
i like the mod better just for the fact that it doesn't lag like my computer up like the retail version does

They're both good. The Steam one is a separate game, almost like a sequel of sorts. If you have UT2004 the mod is worth checking out, it has its own maps and stuff.

I agree this as one of the best UT2004 mods ever. This mod is way better than Valve's version of Alien Swarm.

After they'd been bought by Valve and put to work on Left 4 Dead, which is nowhere near as good as UT2K4 AS. Steam AS feels unfinished by comparison.
arg... i forgot what to do after i download where do i put the file?
Should just have to put the entire folder named 'Alien Swarm' into the UT2004 folder and it should work fine from there.
