With the benefits of Phobos logic, the branch system of SA no longer requires the commander to place an structure on the battlefield which could be a confusing experience. Instead the commander will pick their chosen branch from the defense tab currently. New construction options are only available once a commander has committed to a mutually exclusive branch. Combat footage shows a commander picking a combat branch before or after deploying their mobile command center vehicle.
