Should do a poll how much outrage this will generate.

Hey, i wouldn't mind if you did this. Maybe a upgrade to the Cross-field to add a Micro-Jump ability. It'd be cool, but from what i'm reading, its only a April Fools joke. Maybe you should use this model, but use a more TOS Looking texture, just to see how it looks.

You can check out STO for how a crossfield with a TOS skin looks.

Is it bad that I actually quite like the look of the Discovery?

No, it isn't bad. Everyone has their own opinion. I personally didn't like it at the start, i thought it looked like a Federation Starship and a D-7 had sex and this is what came out. But its grown on me.

I enjoyed Discovery esp the mirror universe part. My biggest complaint with it was the Klingon ship designs, i got used to the new Klingons themselves but their ships just looked like generic sci fi ships. The ep with the D7 prison ship, i got excited when the computer said that the ship was a D7 and thought yes that ship they must of kept some of the original design elements in it. Nope just looked like a cross between a Wraith Hive ship and dart. I do like discovery dont get me wrong, but the producers keep saying its in Prime cannon, yet the Klingon fleet, bares no resemblance whats so ever. I get that ships need to be updated and re imagined, as i loooove the new connie, but they seemed to ignore that completely with the klingon fleet.

Oh yea, i 100% agree that the Klingons in Discovery are ****. From the ships, to the Klingons themselves. But i didn't mind the rest of the show. As you said, the Mirror Universe part was awesome! I think they really nailed it! But just the Klingons.......

OMG, what have you done... Ew... Just ew... I curse Discovery for every bad influence it has had on Trek and the minds of young Trekkie-wannabies...

Ha. Ha. Happy April fools and Easter guys.

I know it's based on a concept design, but god that ship is ugly. The TOSified version you guys made is an improvement but even people with your level of talent can only polish a turd so much.

Well. at the risk of being assassinated, I never liked the TOS ships, looked too... toy-like. I really liked the SDC Enterprise, Defiant and other starfleet ships, they're more updated with expectations for the future in our time.

that being said, the gaps in the saucer of the newer model are the only thing that puts off. Seems really impractical. Not to mention the whole spinning thing.
