Concentrating on the late medieval period, Age of Chivalry: Hegemony replaces or significantly alters each of the civilizations in the original game, while adding a number of new ones, allowing the player to control Central and Western European states. Many new units and technologies have been added and gameplay dynamics have been changed considerably in this complete overhaul of Age of Empires II.

Naples will share some of the buildings on display here, while those of the other Italian factions will be similar. You can see the dock for Milan, Papal States and Florence here, for instance: Moddb.com

Unfortunately for Genoa, it would be rather OP if their houses could attack, so it's just an aesthetic thing without gameplay repercussions.

I haven't found a water texture yet that I prefer over the current one, but if I do ever find one, I might replace it. However, the water will be animated with the next release, thanks to the latest version of the Userpatch.

At least if those houses has 2 of range and 2 of attack, melee units will have problems but not the range. :v

Awesome, I hope you can able to find a good texture for your mod.

Description

To tide you over until the next patch release (which will happen soon), here's the final pre-release screenshot: the port of Genoa. The houses are based on historic buildings, and as Genoa had quite a few tower houses (and a fair few still survive) that's also what you'll get in the game. It gives them a rather distinct appearance, especially in combination with the typical horizontal lines on many of their buildings. This feature is unique to Genoa and not shared by the other Italian factions.
