Advance Wars - Steampunk Rising is a map set for Warcraft 3 which brings to The units/tactics of Advance wars to into a Real-time strategy experience.
The first map that has been developed is Little Island, in which the ground units are being balanced at current. A Public release of Little Island v1.17 without Commander Powers was released on the 2nd of January and the public release of a Little Island Beta map with Powers is currently intended for mid-late January 2013
So if your interested please feel free to watch and play the current Beta as well as ask any questions you might have of the maps.
Bit of call out for player feedback and suggestions. I have two main questions for people who've participated in the beta so far.
- Would people like a 4 player map setup before abilities are added and balanced?
- Are there are currently overpowered units and if so why do you think said unit is overpowered?
IMPORTANT - Finally replays for play sessions would be greatly appreciated. Send them in message with the title "Steampunk Rising Replay".
The more feedback and replays I receive the better i can balanced the experience for yourself and future players, so I ask if you have do play next please take the 5 minutes to hit "Save replay" and sent it my way. Balancing requires a lot of analysis watching play sessions so I greatly appreciate those of you so far who have taken the time to send feedback and replays.

I saw Advance Wars followed by Steampunk and became deeply intrigued. Personally I loved the Advance Wars but rarely found anyone who even knew it existed. This seems intresting.
Thanks I loved them two especially Black hole rising and Dual Strike.
One of my favorite things about modding is the being able to cross over games and many great ideas merging together. It was really fun to get the real-time and art side of Warcraft and the Stats and tactics of Advance Wars terrain together in one game.
If you have a friend who plays either I'd recommend giving it a shot, although 1v1 can be too competitive I admit. I tried to get the triggers working with co-op but just ran out of time to fix all the bugs sadly.

I have two questions.
1.) Do you build units?
2.) Do you capture cities?
1) Yeah you build from the 2 base buildings like the GBA game.
2) Yes the cities must be captured by infantry units and each provide 100 gold income on upkeep every 30 seconds.
