This is the most recent version that is still playable on disc. It is not, however, the most recent version of the mod, and it is highly recommended that you get the STEAM version of EaW/FoC and play it on the workshop.
Absolute Chaos v. 2.011
This is the most up to date full version of the mod which is playable on unpatched versions of EaW/FoC. It is not, however, the most recent version of Absolute Chaos and it is vastly inferior to the current STEAM version of the mod which can be previewed and accessed here.
Why is this? In 2018, Petroglyph patched EaW/FoC so that the save mechanics would work properly. This patch, as well two other more minor patches, are currently available only for STEAM users, unfortunately. Consequently, the most recent version of the mod is being released only on STEAM, because only that format is capable of handling a mod of its size and scope. If Petroglyph ever brings the disc version of the mod up to speed with a patch of its own, you can rest assured that the most recent versions of Absolute Chaos will be hosted here and updated regularly. So for now, consider this version a playable demo or a teaser to whet your appetite for the complete mod which currently accessible only on STEAM. Until then, it is strongly advised that all disc users upgrade to STEAM, which is now the exclusive platform for most of the premium quality EaW mods still in development.
Installation
- Download and install a copy of Absolute Corruption 2.4. You can get it here.
- Once you have installed, open the folder for ACM2.4 and go to DATA -> ART. Find and delete the MAPS folder.
- Next, download Absolute Chaos 2.011 and extract its folder to your desktop or to some other location on your computer.
- Find the DATA folder in Absolute_Chaos2.011. Drag and drop it into the ACM2.4 folder for Absolute Corruption. Merge the folders and overwrite everything it asks you to. You are now ready to play!
- If the game does not load, or you get a logfile error, go to DATA -> XML and delete a file called GRAPHICDETAILS.XML.
- If you experience crashes when space battles load, then you didn't overwrite the models in ACM 2.4. You need to re-install and make sure you overwrite all of the models.
- Post questions, feed back and bug reports to our DISCORD server. See main page for more details.
- Consider getting the optional GC performance patch if you are experiencing excessive lag on the large GC scenarios.
- Also add this minor rolling update that adds some additional content and minor bugfixes.

Dumb question but how does the Contortion upgrade its tech now? I've tried black markets, I've built the technology buyer/seller thing, am I an idiot and just missed something incredibly obvious?
You need to build an Underworld Tech center after the Underground Palace, and upgrade your tech the same way the Empire does, with buildable upgrades in the land unit queue.
Okay, thanks. BTW have some of the unit abilities been removed, because my skiprays don't have jammers and the Vengeance frigates have neither shields nor stealth generators?

Then I there's a problem cause I don't get a black market option, I can corrupt with it but have no buy option regardless of the hero or planet faction. Some units still have their ability unlocked like missile barrage on Interceptors or carbonite missiles on the MAL. Grenadiers have mines but will not drop them. Also, "honest way via black market" defiantly a hilarious contradiction.
After re-downloading and reinstalling still don't have a black market. Don't know if I'm the only one having this problem but would it be possible to have a mini patch or something to re-enable the free upgrades or is this an issue that can be patched?
Im having a similar issue and confused as well, upgrading my tech level does not give my units abilities such as the starviper buzz droid upgrade. And planets that I corrupt with black market do not give me an option to buy those upgrades ether by a hero, or even a defiler.
I'm running into the old Exception error on the retail side of the game when I try and run this Sub-Mod (which I fixed for the base FOC expansion ages ago), I can run the base Absolute Corruption Mod just fine, but as soon as I try to use this one (after overwriting), it gives me that error. Is there a fix or am I hosed?

Did you try deleting GRAPHICDETAILS.XML? (And make sure you install the patch)
So is it possible for the for the black market issue to be patched or to re-enable the unlocked upgrades because it is kind of annoying not having the upgrades unlocked for Zahn units. Also, and perhaps slightly related issue, with the way units units are balanced now piracy on Coralag is impossible to do. Would it also be possible to make piracy automatic or something?
Thanks for your efforts and job, absolutely the best mod i ever played since now, and i've played many of them. Need to point out a problem and place few suggestions. I confirm the goodness of the AI changes finally, though i still get the graphic problem about fleets and space/land structures. The icons of all these three categories are large as they are in the ACM 2.4 version, though in a previous version that i tried out of the 2.011 patch the dimensions of those where correct (as for example are in another patches as awakening of the rebellion). About this, i would suggest few things: add some big CIS ships to be used both from Empire and Rebels, buildable perhaps on planets as Geonosis or Muunilist (thinking about the Lucrehulk and the Munificient for example). Cause i'm an Empire faction player, i would really love to see added some good graphics to the heroes and maybe few more added (a good pool of search, both for characters and graphics is the rising phoenix v2.0). I would love to give more insights about whcich could be good to add, but i'll first wait an answer. In the end, i suggest to change all the heroes present, both land and space, in more high ranking officers, so the fleets will display their portraits, instead of other ships or stuff like that (thinking about Needa, Screed or Zinj). Anyone noticed that both the SSD linked with heroes (Vader and Zinj) are so fragile and weak? It is possible to fix that? How does one destroy the DS1 as the Zann Consortium in Single Player mode? There is no option to destroy/hack the station with IG88. All that turns up is the "neutralize hero" option (Piett was present and Han Solo had just started smuggling on the planet [Ando]).
Even if I win a space battle with IG88 present, the Consortium simply says something to the effect of: "We've won, but we're no match for that Death Star" and retreats from my freshly-destroyed planet.
I have the same issue. IG-88 wont destroy DeathStar on any type of planet (corrupted/not corrupted/ owned/). I won a battle with IG-88 in it and it doesn't work either (I thought that maybe the mod make IG-88 like Luke, so you need to win a battle in order to destroy the star).
I searched a lot and I found out that some people have the same issue.
