I'm testing my mod and make final hot fixes and new options before release.

Hi there! Sorry for few weaks of silence.

I've repacked original game resources with my mod included, it gave more optimization. But mod will be slightly bigger - 3.5GB. There will be easy drag'n'drop setup. I've made patch for squarish monitors to have no mini-map out of the screen and oval scopes. Make less or no rain option. I've added transperent gas masks without damages as an option too.

Zaton is very smooth on fps, but Jupiter, as original, is really buggy. Jupiter has fps drops to 30fps in some areas, I can't do anything with it. I've replaced my nightvisions for new by paranoiia8 from Stalker Two-K. I still fix some little things, mod had no crashes till now. The only problem is fps drops, but, I think, the problem is engine.

I share some screenshots for some content.

You can check that fps is not so bad. As I will polish all things, I'll releace my mod. Still want to make some trailer. Also, I've made proper volume levels of rain, menu music, credit music, ambient. Different things. New rain sound is 20 minutes loop, sounds realistic.

If you have any suggestions on options for my mod, tell me about it. MAY BE, I can and will make them.

hey man, how is it going?
optional addon suggestion:
1. add both variations as options Moddb.com
2. add Moddb.com as an option. i've yet to try this mod & maybe ABR will be a good way to check this out

Hi, it's ok.
1. I'll try to add open scopes. That shouldn't be hard.
2. I've tried it, my mod is already overloaded with mods, it didn't even started with Two-K (mini!). Engine uses only 4GB of RAM. And I've reached maximum.

Its stalker engine repo, and actually if this mod is just for normal CoP you could actually compile that engine and copy all your changes to it, because Oxygen is just cleaned and updated version of normal CoP that is better at handling more mods, and it have few new features implemented.
It would need small adjustment but not much because its still normal CoP.
You would need to release your mod as standalone game that would be way bigger, but you could squeeze from game more and have better performance.

The point is I even don't know scripting, there's nothing to talk about programming. I've spent year just to merge mods and make some tweaks, that was very hard for me. And compiling engine, for me, is like to build a time machine. I have 145 people in followers, I think that's pretty good. I'll never compete with Misery or Lost Alpha anyway. And still, I make mod for myself in the first place. :)

BTW: I've found the song you took your avatar from. That's hardcore to me :D

As for compiling engine, you dont really need to compile it fully. Just download this: Github.com
put in Stalker CoP game folder, go to folder "bins" and start "xrPlay.exe"
English translation in setting is messed up, its still WIP project

Then some dude just used same picture.

I've tried, there some differences from original X-RAY, game didn't start. THis engine is new, and it's better base mod on this engine from the start, I don't have time and will to migrate for a few fps.

I'll adapt open scopes for FanofCrommsWorks, will make some trailer, will release my mod, and will forget all this modding stuff! :D

there's something up with the lighting in these screenshots which makes it look not very good. I think the gamma is too high

That's the mod feature. AF3 was too dark for me, I've made weather lighter, just like in real life.Typical AF3: 13 p.m. - it's dark, 15 p.m. - it's dark, as if sun doesn't exist. I'm walking on the streets in cloudy weather and there is more light than in AF3's clear weather.

AFAIK CoC uses AF3, you can tweak the lighting values to get it looking more balanced, this is what I'm working on in CoC but it may be easy to setup in your mod: Imgur.com

I am using a reshade, but the reshade is just for ambient occlusion and AA and a very minimal about of colour correction.

But all I've really done in my CoC is used textures from various mods like the Absolute ones and some from Autumnal Winds and Stalker2K and Lost Alpha etc and tweaking the r2 sun scale/ambient light values, setting gloss_factor to 1, disabling bloom (bloom sucks) and tweaking the tonemap stuff.

Not sure if the above is useful/interesting for your mod but thought I'd share :)

BTW: You can always decrease gamma in the game's settings.

There is original weapon replacer - new models, new sounds, new testures, not reskin. 8 new weapons can be bought from nimble. No tons of new guns.
