A custom story for Amnesia: The Dark Descent in which you once again take on the role of Daniel, roughly one year after his ordeal at Brennenburg. Daniel has been doing quite well since his escape, but one night, a loud crash awakens him. It is up to you to investigate the source of the disturbance, and find out what it all means. IMPORTANT: YOU MUST HAVE JUSTINE FOR THIS STORY.
A worthy successor to the original Amnesia. Abduction does a great job at paying tribute to the original game by using many familiar game mechanics, while still having enough creative elements (mine, ending and some puzzles for example) to keep it from getting dull. I also really liked the direction that was taken with the story. Although not canon, the idea of further exploring Alexander's backstory and character was interesting and it was done well. It also has a few pretty scary moments and is well over 2 hours long which, for those who enjoy long mods (like myself)is a good thing.
I do have one major grievance with this cs, and it's the monsters. I've never seen another mod spam monsters as hard as this one does. There were easily 2-3 monsters PER MAP on average, with some maps having 4. Granted, some of the encounters were pretty well scripted, but the sheer quantity of them was ridiculous. It got to the point where i would just let them kill me because it was faster than having wait in a closet for 30 seconds every time I made an ounce of progress. Also, some of the levels could have been a little more detailed.
Despite the annoying monster spam, Abduction still stands out as an enjoyable mod that was long, interesting, and scary at times. Anyone who really enjoyed the original game should have a blast with this.

I finished Abduction and I feel like I should express my thoughts on it. Overall, it's decent. It has some good and new ideas (like the boss fight, that was awesome), however with many mistakes it decreases its quality, could've been much better. Continuing Amnesia's story seemed quite a wrong choice at the start. Until chapter 3, it was so. Then it turned out to be not a bad story, and even made some sense at some points, especially at the end. Traveling through realms was a good idea too. Some…
