8 Great Civilizations Extended file

The nations of the game are unified in only Eight Great generic Civilizations that are:

-SOUTH AMERICANS that correspond to the ancient Central and South America nations and part of modern Latin American nations.
-NORTH AMERICANS that correspond to ancient and modern native North American nations and part of modern North American nations.
-EUROPEANS that correspond to ancient and modern North and East European nations and modern english-speaking world nations.
-MEDITERRANEANS that correspond to the ancient Mediterranean Basin nations, to modern South European nations and part of modern Latin American nations.
-AFRICANS that correspond to ancient and modern nations of Sub-Saharan Africa.
-HINDUARABIANS that correspond to ancient and modern nations of the region between Northern Africa and the indian sub-continent passing through the Middle East.
-ASIANS that correspond to the ancient and modern nations of Continental Eastern and Central Asia.
-OCEANIANS that correspond to ancient and modern nations of the Pacific Ocean and Insular East Asia.

This modificaion also have sound, effects and rules modifications that improve the experience in combat, in the other hand you can play the Entire World CTW Campaign with this modification.

There are a lot of changes and they are not practical to enumerate all of them, you will discover all of these playing this mod. Some of these modifications are the following:

- From Industrial to Information Age, every civilization in each age has all the soldiers with the same uniform, infantry, anti-tank, machine gun and others, and all military vehicles and planes has the same color.
- From Gunpowder Age every war ship has quite visible projectile trajectory.
- Spies dont bribe too easily like original game, and with modern ones while bribing you'll see bouncing Dollar, Euro, or Yen symbols instead of gold coins.
- The snipers can fire much more times and are more useful in battlefield.
- You will see the senators, regents, deputies, aristocrats, ministers and comissars ever with an appearance corresponding with the age that you are playing, no more ancient units in modern ages.
- Rocket artillery or MLRS fires congruently with the animation file, and it's more realistic than the original game.
- There are modified files for modern african and european cities appearance, only for differenciate from others.
- Industrial age looks a little more rural than the original game, like a genuine bridge between Enlightenment Age and Modern Age.
- Some unique units, and CTW unique units were used and some files were modified to make all the armies look different in all ages.
- Values of armor and attack points are modified to make more realistic the technologic breach when you play against players in upper or lower ages, the change is notoriuos from Enlightenment to Industrial Age, but war machines are expensive.
- There are up to 242 new art files.

There are an alternate colors file that turn off the team colors. If you want to play without team colors you have to modify the rise2.ini file and change the value of UseAltColors from 0 to 1. This file is located in the AppData folder of the system, someone explained it before in "http://ron.heavengames.com/cgi-bin/forums/display.cgi?action=ct&f=10,4629,150,all".

This modification don't pretend to be historical or accurate with any other academic topic, its only an attempt to play Rise Of Nations with mostly of the units and buildings unique for each civilization. With this modification YOU CAN PLAY WITHOUT ANY TEAM COLOR.

To install this modification you have to replace completely the folders art, conquest, data, mapstyles, scenario, terrain art, and tribes CONTAINED INSIDE the FOLDER where is already Rise Of Nations: Extended Edition installed with the new ones of the unzipped file.

Las naciones del juego se unifican en sólo ocho grandes civilizaciones genéricas que son:

-SURAMERICANOS que corresponden a las antiguas naciones mesoamericanas y suramericanas y a parte de las modernas naciones latinoamericanas.
-NORTEAMERICANOS que corresponden a los antiguos y modernos nativos norteamericanos y a parte de las modernas naciones norteamericanas.
-EUROPEOS que corresponden a las antiguas y modernas naciones del norte y este de Europa y a las modernas naciones angloparlantes del mundo.
-MEDITARRÁNEOS que corresponden a las antiguas naciones de la cuenca mediterránea, a las modernas naciones del sur de Europa y a parte de las modernas naciones latinoamericanas.
-AFRICANOS que corresponden a antiguas y modernas naciones del África subsahariana.
-INDOARÁBIGOS que corresponden a las antiguas y modernas naciones de la región comprendida entre el norte de África, el medio oriente y el sub-continente indio.
-ASIÁTICOS que corresponden a las antiguas y modernas naciones del Asia central y oriental continental.
-OCEÁNICOS que corresponden a las antiguas y modernas naciones del Océano Pacífico y del Asia insular oriental.

Esta modificación tiene también cambios en los efectos gráficos, de sonido y en las reglas que mejoran la experiencia en combate, por otro lado también se puede jugar la campaña a la conquista del mundo entero con esta modificación.

Hay muchas cambios que se han implementado y no es práctico enumerarlos todos, los irás descubriendo en la medida que juegues esta modificación. Algunas de estas son:

- Desde la Era Industrial hasta el Siglo de la Información cada civilización en cada edad tiene todos sus soldados con el mismo uniforme, infantería, anti-tanques, ametralladoras y otros, y todos sus vehículos militares y aviones con el mismo color.
- Desde la Edad de la Pólvora en adelante cada navío de guerra dispara proyectiles con trayectorias visibles.
- Los espías no sobornan tan fácilmente como en el juego original, y en edades modernas cuando sobornan se ven símbolos de Dólar, Euro o Yen en vez de monedas de oro.
- Los francotiradores pueden disparar muchas más veces y son más útiles en el campo de batalla.
- Los senadores, regentes, diputados, aristócratas, ministros y comisarios siempre se verán con una apariencia acorde a la edad en que se está jugando así no se verán más unidades antiguas en edades modernas.
- La artillería de cohetes dispara sincronizadamente con el archivo de animación y es mucho más realístico que en el juego original.
- Las ciudades modernas europeas y africanas tienen una apariencia diferente para poderlas diferenciar de otras civilizaciones.
- La era industrial luce un poco más rural que en el juego original, como un verdadero puente entre el Siglo de las Luces y la Edad Moderna.
- Algunas unidades únicas se han usado y algunos archivos fueron modificados para que todos los ejércitos luzcan diferentes en todas las edades.
- Los valores de ataque y armadura se han modificado para hacer más real la brecha tecnológica cuando se juega con rivales en edades diferentes, el cambio es especialmente notorio entre el Siglo de las Luces y la Era Industrial pero las máquinas de guerra son costosas.
- Hay 242 nuevos archivos de arte.

El archivo alternatecolors.xml está modificado y desactiva los colores de equipo, para poder jugar sin colores de equipo se debe modificar el archivo rise2.ini cambiando el valor de UseAltColors de 0 a 1. Este archivo se encuentra en la carpeta del AppData del sistema, alguien ya explicó esto en "http://ron.heavengames.com/cgi-bin/forums/display.cgi?action=ct&f=10,4629,150,all".

Esta modificación no pretende ser acertada con la historia del mundo ni con cualquier otro ámbito académico, solo es un intento de jugar Rise Of Nations con casi todas las unidades y edificios únicos para cada civilización del juego. Por esto ésta modificación SE PUEDE JUGAR SIN NINGÚN COLOR DE EQUIPO.

Para instalar esta modificación se debe reemplazar completamente las carpetas art, conquest, data, mapstyles, scenario, terrain art, y tribes CONTENIDAS DENTRO DE LA CARPETA donde se encuentra instalado Rise Of Nations: Extended Edition con las nuevas carpetas del archivo descomprimido.
