Imagine a world where the Allies didn't win the war, nor did the Axis. Instead, the war just continued on and on in an unsteady stalemate. Welcome, to the world of 1949. In this world Germany decided not to bomb London, but instead continued its attacks on Britain's airfields. Then, the Russians lost at Kursk. Finally, D-Day fails. With these victories, Germany has managed to halt the Allie's progress. In the Western Theatre, the Allies and the Axis each plan the invasion of the other's vital territories. In the Pacific, Japan and the United States are dueling over tiny islands with giant fleets and atomic weapons. Now, the stalemate is about to be broken. Germany is preparing an all out invasion of Britain. As tough and valiant as the Allied troops defending the Sceptered Isle are, some of their leaders are beginning to that they will be unable to hold against the Wehrmacht.

There will be some, but why do so when there is no need to? The STG-44 was not a bad weapon, and would probably have remained in service during this time. Maybe a few modifications might have been made, but probably not many. For instance, ever heard of the MG-3? It's a more advanced version of the Mg-42 that is still in use, and looks almost exactly like the MG-42.

If what you want is a total revamp with tons of failed weapon designs included, then you will be disappointed. The only weapons I will include are those that were halted for lack of funds, time, or because the war ended. Others will be added because they appeared shortly thereafter. At any rate, don't expect any weapons that are entirely fictional. This is still the Second World War, after all.

Thats right the MG 42 is also used by modern German Bundeswehr i used this weapon during my time in the Bundeswehr from 1979 on, only Ammunition is changed because of NATO standardisation now it has NATO caliber 7.62x51 instead the old WH 7.92x57 IS (infantriespitzgeschoss) there is no need for a new MG because the MG 42 is also today a potent weapon with high rate of fire but a little bit heavy ca. 12kg. Germans produced during the war also older Weapon designs because they dont like to interuppt the production i.e. Me/Bf 109. it makes sense.

Description

Here, for your viewing pleasure, I have presented the latest units, both from the SS Division. They are SS Grenadiers and SS Reich's Guards. Credit for the SS Grenadiers design should go directly to Doctor Lee, as should helmet credit for the Reich's Guards. Most of the rest of the Guard unit is mine, the black and red coat textures in particular.

As for the units themselves, SS Grenadier units come equipped with two flamethrowers and incendiary grenades. SS Reich's Guards can be equipped with either panzerschrecks or flamethrowers, depending on player choice. They also have the ability to rout enemy units thanks to their fierce reputation.
