I am been a supporter of this mod since it was still 0.99 version back in 2015. My review is still there. To the people who dislikes the mod you seriously need to start thinking, criticisms are fine, nothing is perfect, but you can't just hit the 1 without even considering what this mod offers, I'd say this mod is far from a 1 because its got (listed below) if you dislike the modder, keep it to yourself, you have no idea how hard it is to develop a mod because you haven't experienced it. I tried to make my own mod and trust me, its harder than you think. You have to know how to 3D model, you have to know how to texture, and the most important thing is programming. I failed miserably many many times, and I thought it was going to be easy but no it isn't. Going through all these hate comments while figuring out how to make a mod better is seriously annoying.
As for the mod, I'd give it a 10 because it is fun. Skirmishing against Mexican outlaws, get rekt, get captured, fight against the racists confederates :) Invade Mexico and kill all the drug lords jk :P expand your American Empire and bully Native Americans armed with tomahawks while your army armed with guns and pistols. There are still plenty of fun things to do in this mod.
As for the developer, if you are nice to him, he'll be nice to you, and that's the reality of this world if you are nice to someone, he'll be nice to you. I've seen people talking trash about the developer and the only reason is literally because he ask people to honestly rate the mod. From what I can tell the 1 ratings in the review sections aren't honest reviews, those reviewers obviously haven't experience the deeper gameplay and understand all the fun things you can do. Extradaemon is a no brain troll, his review makes absolutely no sense.take a look (https://imgur.com/wUiEJUX) but in some part I have to agree. (The mexican flag is wrong, and the republic did not control mexico during the 1860s either remove it or just change the flag whatever)
Pros:
- Good music (Example When Johnny comes marching home)
- Nice weapon/clothing models/textures
- Big Map
- Very nice scenes (Example Governor's mansion)
- Historically accurate factions mostly
- Nice (battle map)
- Nice sound effect (example shooting)
- Epic/fun battles (bully natives armed with tomahawks while you have guns >:D)
- Historically accurate characters
- Troop tree is well done
Cons:
- few spelling errors (Volunteer* not volonteer) (Sergeant Drax sounds better)
- Maximilian's Mexican Empire ruled entire mexico, the republic didn't exist that time.) Imgur.com

(Note) these cons don't affect gameplay. They are minor that could be fixed easily I hope, once fixed it'll make the game look much more beautiful and make more sense
Suggestions:
- you shouldn't put too much caps (Example) CAMP butler, CINCINNATI, It'll look better if its like this (Example) Camp Butler, Cincinnati, etc
- replace the party map icon to something that feels more like a civil war general (https://imgur.com/l4dd5Oj)
- Add Canada :D
- Add Spain on Cuba
- Better female face models like Nova aetas Imgur.com
Please consider these suggestions, I know its hard maybe and going through the haters is stressful, but I have faith in you, this is one of the best mods I've play. Keep up the good work and I hope you will continue to make the game better :)

Good review! Will say though he's wrong about African American's not fighting for the Confederates... The first Battle of Bull Run saw African American slave soldiers engage Union Troops, although they were forced to do so at gun point...

the mod is great but i have 1 issue. The mod is awesome but after 2 hours of playing it started crashing and then it started crashing more and more till i couldn't play and now it just always crashes. Is there any way to fix this.

That is not true, blacks did fight for the confederate army during the war, some as slaves, some as freed men.

Some Blacks did fight for the South, just as some owned slaves.

Any idea if a 1866 mod will be made for this game? The last one as I saw was a masterpiece, but sadly I never got to play it on the original Mount and Blade.

The trilogy of Gabrilduro is very special. His mods cover over a century of american history, and makes that using an almost unusual approach.
In 1860’s weapons shops have little interesting items for sale, just the wandering sellers offer an excellent choice, but you can get best revolvers and rifles for free looting bandits or exploring american towns. Less easy in Indian lands, best to ride outside for your shopping.
Armour shops are too a bit deceptive, as the real point is that you have to forget the concept of armour. Best clothes and uniforms give some protection in melee or against arrows, but they aren’t bulletproof and quick death under gunfire is the rule. Legs usually get more protection points, and that isn’t a mistake: it’s just Gabrilduro’s way to recall us that holes in the chest or in the head kill faster.
The financial side isn’t hard at all, profitable business are cheap.
In short, Gabrilduro give us the manner to jump quickly to main action, saving lot of time usually spent in search of money (or cheats) to get ready. It’s really fun, unless business and management are your favourite sides when playing Warband.
The starting scenes are the most immersive I ever saw, and so for his version of tournaments and arena fights. Sometimes you have just a knife, and must ambush gun equipped opponents to survive: sort of nightmare worthing the download by itself .
Well Sir...THAT Review that U made and that You rated a huge 10/10 is Worth, itself, the tremendous effort that I made in modding 1860s !

PS in 1.5 you never get a knife anymore...70% a gun...and 50% also ammo with it. Less often you get nothing and you need to fight with fists and kiks (great is kicking while guarding...you are invincible, almost! Hah!
So I remember asking this already, but it seems either my comment was deleted or it didn't post properly... anyway...
I understand that you're trying to pay homage to members of the team, your friends and family, but I was wondering if it would possible to create perhaps a 'sub-mod' as it were for the companions, that replaces the current companions with historical individuals of the period, or characters based off of historical individuals. I say a sub mod because I do understand that you're pay respect to these people and so those who wish to keep them in the mod may do so. I just feel like doing this would give something to the mod that it is currently missing!

Your problem is related to installation problem and not to 1860s Mod. See the message that u got? It is abpout a file missing or corrupted (Troop.txt. You either missed something in the download or you tweaked something in 1860s, messing things around. I don t know, I m just guessing, you know...
Try your best once again allover and DO NOT USE OLD CHARACTER OR SAVES. Start a blend new game, please.

2 things that bother me alot playing this and actually want me to not play it again are these.
the tournament battle size is to damn big and people get stuck behind cut down trees,buildings and basicly anything and take ages to find.
and on some battles you have a starting battle camp and also opponents get stuck behind it and u have to walk/ride all the way there to kill them. rather frustrating

About AI pathes, I hate them. It makes all battles the same: you wait, they come through the roads, you shoot to each other. End of the battle! Never liked that. Open fields with obstacles will make AI like if they were actually "hiding" from you, see...?
Sad most nude scenes were removed, I liked them, they added that late-Victorian artistic feel, but I can understand why you removed them. I have loved this mod since early 2015 and am definitely going to continue, I am downloading the mod right now and can't wait to play! I can't wait for the many more updates to come!

This is perhaps one of the best mods for M&B. A total overhaul, not completed, still some bugs [but its fine, as nothing is perfect].
I recommend adding Freelancer [somehow]. It improves the mod 10fold.

I've been on this mod for a few days now, globally, I had the feeling that it is truly a good module experience, not totally polished of course (and this kind of work is never easy to complete, especially when you're working on your own)
I wouldn't find anything to really complain about, knowing that the only thing that frustrates me most is the fact that I can't visit the entire town ; whenever I'll go, I'll find an invisible wall stopping me while willing to turn in some street.
I explain myself : my only regret regarding towards your town structures is that even when you still have a couple buildings in front of you, you may risk to be invited to "leave the area", which brings you back to the scene menu. I used to think that it is quite a shame knowing that you've built quite big towns ! (these are beautiful scenes, congrats' !) Now, I know it is a comfortable way to limit the time spent on building your town structures, being able to gain some time to work on other aspects of the module -great content in your mod by the way !- and it is a great idea to design such amazing towns for the environments, but it might be frustrating for some of those role-playing fanatics (such as myself) besides, I know that it would seem ridiculous to spend so much time working on town scenes, because it isn't a fundamental aspect of the game since there isn't much to exploit by this side regarding the gameplay, but, as I already said, it is just some part of a role-play thrill to explore at the ends of any city. If I think a little bit more objectively, I'd rather say that it isn't quite a big deal.
On a second hand, I think that the most important thing that lacks to your content is the absence of scenario (or maybe I didn't explore enough...?)
I'm aware that it might be the most difficult above all, but I always thought that the lack of scenario tends to impoverish the overall quality of a mod. I ain't saying that a whole scenario is needed, but a few quests based upon the civil war would be truly welcomed. Just to feel a little bit more immersion from the NPCs relationships. I'm also talking about the diversity of some random events, that would greatly overhaul the immersion.
Last thing that quite bothered me too was the position of your arm while pointing your pistol to someone, I feel that it is to centered relatively to the eyes of the character, it really gives me that feeling especially when I'm at the back of a horse, but I think I figured that it is an imperfection due to the game's vanilla physics, right ? I was asking myself if it was quite easily possible to correct the global field of view...? Just know that I was wondering about that, I know that it's not your fault
Anyway, I was really happy to see you offering such an experience, I still find it veeery enjoyable, since your mod content is great, despite the little historic anachronisms, like you said, regarding the fact that we find the Republic besides Maximilian's Empire feels reaally odd towards Mexico's political structure, but this is another detail that doesn't smash the mod's gameplay concepts.
In my opinion, it is some great quality work that you accomplished here, at least it is a perfect basis to enhance at further occasions (I use the term "basis" but I'm well aware that it is already a hell of a work)I like it a lot, so don't give up this fantastic work, you'll find some time to polish this impressive base that you've built here, whenever you will, just don't give up, but if you do, I could not get angry at you for that reason, as I know that such a work requires waaay too much time to spend upon, and it ain't easy to establish stable life standards while having so much modding work...
So, again, thank you so much, and congratulations bro -I'm sorry if the ideas I meant to explain seemed to be confused, I'm french and I ain't mastering english that mmuch, still, I hope that it is quite clear, at least globally understandable.

As a civil War Reenactor based in Ohio, I can honestly say you have done and learned more than most Americans even know about the topic. I love your subtle choices on equal flavor and attention to each nation making it come to life. Please keep working on what you do! I know your family must miss you with all the time you've put into this! I don't care that there might be bugs because every update gets better and better. I appreciate your interest in the culture and history of my nation as I love Italia! Thank you for doing all of your work for FREE and releasing all of your hard work and hours to the public. You are the only reason I have a moddb account because of your work!I am upset at myself that I haven't checked to see if you updated but I've been busy enjoying 1.0!
P.S. The 61st Ohio (my reenacting company) fought at Gettysburg, maybe adding Youngstown (very Italian!) or Canfield (nearby) would be pretty cool. ;D
