Hiya! Welcome all to my profile! Well, not really a lot can be say here, I mostly mod and map for the GoldSource engine, though I do mod other stuff here as well. Anyway, hope you enjoy your visit!
The Closure - Remod has begun.
I used most of Onemanshow's modified OG stuff to replace the original weapons while adding Verttrasher's textures as their skins.
(This means that the SMG1 now has a larger underbarrel, now it makes slightly more sense how grenades can be shot through them!)
Also added the old crowbar using Mantuna's animation with Vuthakral's Crowbar textures.
Used Wally's HL1-styled HUD, will modify it later to look more HL2 orangey and fonty.
I have replaced most of the sounds as well.
This Remod's objective is to keep the original HL2 feeling while changing a bunch of stuff.
Other planned features is to replace most of other games music with HL music taken from 1, 2, EP1, and EP2.

Do note that as of now, my computer is suffering from being an OLD-AS-HELL rig along with a broken graphics card.
Expect the old as time "When It's Done" release date.

Replacing the Weapons and maybe Combine Soldiers?
The thing is, the onboard stuff i have REALLY limits my ability to move on without lag.
It's gonna be a LONG time before i can do anything substantial.
I am sorry but i don't understand why models and weapon replacements cause lag while you play? The mod needs at least a dual core computer for good performance, maybe your computer is not that new anymore? Which is ok, this is not to say that you need a new computer, please do understand.
I did try my best to optimaze the mod as well as i could and only 1 person of all the beta testers had low perfomance, (lag problems). But he said he played on a low end pc, so that was causing the lag, not the mod itself.
And i understand that you dislike the weapons i used, you prefer playing with the original ones. Which is ofcourse completely up to you! That is one of the great things of mods, you can take out and or replace with what you prefer. Hope you like the mod, have fun!

- Nah, it's okay, it's just my rig.
A few months ago i had a graphics card that was actually pretty decent and can run stuff at "Max" settings from games that are at least 6 years ago.
A friend of my dad came by the other day and asked him to help fix his computer, my dad managed to pinpoint the problem to the graphic card, so in order to test his theory, he pulled out my card and tested it. It worked, and my dad did manage to tell his friend all about it and how to fix it, all is well. That is until, he put the graphics card back into my PC's motherboard, which then causes untold graphical glitches, like the one shown on my "A stalking favor to thank for" blog.
With nothing left, i ended up using my onboard, which of course, is literally hell. I can't even play Half-Life 2 without lags even at the lowest of settings.

I'm sure you have your reasons for changing stuff up, seeing the same bloody models/textures/sprites for ages can get old. I personally would have probably done similar things, it is actually one of the few reasons that i made my "Remod" projects.
But the thing is, i usually would leave original stuff intact for people to use. My Remod projects are just addons, optional stuffs. People can choose to use either original stuff for purists, or use mine if they so choose.
I think the best course of action when you do release the updated stuff here is to take all the custom stuff you used and separate them as an optional pack. I'm sure purists would VERY much appreciate it. And it would very much reduce the amount of negativity people would shoot at you.
+ I really do hope that the later levels please me, the first maps is kinda weird, but understandable since they were probably the maps that you did first 6 years ago, and i undoubtedly am certain that your skills have most definitely develop from there to your later levels.
Can't wait to see more when i finally get myself some money and upgrade my piece of crap PC.
Are you gonna change some of the Textures that have the Word "UAC" on them?
Yes. Anything that looks funny to me and is changeable.
