I think that's only an illusion or well, a really good illusion that is about the only thing ACOK does better. It is built upon the more fiting foundations of Floris, and ACOK makes much, much better use of OSP packs. Everything else I'd give an upper hand to AWOIAF. Though I have to give credit to Cozur for some of the quests, they are reallly immersive.
The problem wth Cozur is that for each version of the mod he makes one step forward and three steps back. He literally ruined the economy and any point of progression by making everything cheap. He is literally an idiot.

An excellent mod, as is Renaissance, they do so many things right, and I like the high price of the items in both. I cannot stand playing ACOK anymore for doing the exact opposite.
It has one major flaw though and one flaw only..
Is there a way to get the game to run with 600 men in battle without a crash? I have a RTX 2070 and a quad core Ryzen 7 3700x, the performance is not a problem.
I had smooth battles in this mod with even 750 men. Bannerlord is smooth with 1000 men for reference.
I had to face the music and accept that Warband is not well optimized for those battle sizes, however with all other mods I can run 600 just fine, or even go beyond that.
Why is it the case that not even 600 man battles work with this mod? I followed all the instructions but yet it crashes continuously, sadly that means I cannot play both, and I just cannot... cannot go back to smaller battles. Is there anything that could be done to get it to work at at least 600? Anything at all?
Produno, my friend, congratulations and I wish you charge headlong into the fray, and bestow upon us one of the best mods for this game like you did for Warband.

I think you should use the animations from the Kingdom mod. I think they are open source (Kingdom mod had AMAZING and i mean AMAZING TYW era armors btw. In fact I think I saw a lot of the assets in your mod from it already which is great)
But the animation mod in there is the best I have seen. Subtle, realistic, shockingly good. It is way better than anything I have ever seen for MB, and that includes Bannerlord and its animations.
I have made a submod for ACOK using said animations. It is still in my profile so feel free to check it out. I don't know how well I can present this mod to you via pictures alone but you should definitely try it. Unlike papa lazarou or the gekokujo's very oriental stylized animations, this one is very down to earth and subtle.
I also recommend using the better bow drawing animation which is way more immersive and realistic... I'm sure you know the one I mean, but I cannot remember which pack it was from for the life of me.
Still waiting for the more metal sounds (or any battle sound enhancement) and gunpowder/musket firing submod. :(

Great looking troops but those 11th century norman shields are really out of place (the ones with the flag symbol vaguely resembling modern day macedonia)
Trust me, they work fine, as long as you don't plan on implementing other custom sounds, such as cries and perhaps musket sounds (although this is the easiest bit to merge)
Can you please, please, *PLEASE* add more metal sounds to the mod?
Settings that use full plate and half plate and generally more plate than chainmail just sound awful in melee engagements. It takes away from my suspension of disbelief when i hear a mace hit plate and it sounds either like flesh is being hit or worse yet, plastic.
A brilliant mod by the name of Knights the Last Battle suffers from this problem.

No definitely not. The only outfit I had was the starting stalkers outfit and the no-outfit outfit, the Strelok model or whatever it is. I definitely was not wearing another faction outfit.
I tried equipping and unequipping outfits out of sight of the now hostile stalkers but it seemed to make no difference.

I wish that were the case, but no. You would not believe how early this happens. I have no chance to do absolutely anything, and I am sure I am not doing anything to **** anyone off.

I'm starting out as a Stalker. I am not sure whether I have Dynamic Faction Relations enabled, is this an addon? Is it known to produce this kind of bug?
Curiously though, in the launcher it says "installed addons may cause crashes" but i do not have any.
I adore this mod but its very broken right now. Downright unplayable. 2 different starts, the following happened:
1st, upon reloading (i assume) Fanatic turns unfriendly and starts shooting me during the tutorial (absolutely certain i did not provoke them) The entire Cordon and its neutral stalkers became hostile as well.
2nd: All stalkers except Fanatic turned unfriendly and were shooting me on sight.
Oh, and in both cases, my pistol disappears from my inventory. I'm not sure if its upon reloading or mid fight. Surprisingly I think I lost it the second time around without having reloaded anything for a while.
Stalker is a phenomenon, not just a game, as are its wonderful mods, but as it stands its night impossible to play this.
With a heavy heart, waiting for a patch.
EDIT: This was in story mode. Hardest difficulty, no iron man. No Azazel mode. No war mode. The only thing I had enabled (only the 2nd try around) was the agony mode, but i don't think that was the culprit at all.
Please put some clarity and emphasis with the versions one ought to download. I got 2.2 instead of 2.2.1 by accident.
Hey. While those bucklers are okay, I think you should use the bucklers from WFAS. They're much better looking and of higher quality, and more historical, too.

Certainly the east needs some factions. Some hunnic successors and the power gap left in that area need to be explored.
Precisely now is the time of the Slavic migrations and the time they truly make a big, known impact on the historical stage. I think it is absolutely essential to have them, as well as whatever other peoples can be put in the east.
Great but... when are you going to work on the environments? Vegetation? Skyboxes? Combat sounds?
I don't get you guys. The mod is weighty in content but so unpolished, and polishing it is vastly, uncomparably less work. The OSP is all there.
