May I ask, why was the Shogun engine chosen over Empire or Napoleon to develop this mod on?

More specifically Empire, because I feel it is aesthetically closer and more appropriate. It obviously covers more of the areas of the game the 1600's setting is supposed to cover, meaning a map of Europe itself, its landscapes and battle maps and some of the existing factions, and much more.

Is the AI on ETW that bad, or is it something else? While Shogun 2 is impeccable, the only thing I can think of (and yes, this is very important) that it does better is the AI and perhaps the simulation of pike clashes.

That said, I've seen the BAI be both horrendous in Empire (unmodded) and I've seen it perform stunningly well (Imperial Splendour)

Would it not be possible to collaborate with the Imperial Splendour team or simply work on the bones of their AI to make a feasible 1600's grand campaign that we all want to see?

As much as I love the rice fields of Japan, seeing European units fight on Japanese soil, not to mention hearing Japanese voices for units and having to painstakingly recreate a map that was never intended to look like Europe... I'm just saying, it might end up feeling too much like a mod, whereas it could potentially feel more at home, and require less work to make it a convincing overhaul, if it was done on Empire Total War.

There is another mod that tries to do this called Colonialism 1600AD, and while it has some amazing units (many, in fact) the AI underperforms so badly that the battles are just disgusting and unplayable. The same goes for CAI and technologies, sadly. It is a mess of what it is supposed to be.

Its almost as if these things take time to make.

Will you include High Elves as mercenaries or invading armies at some point?

I know they're not inhabiting the old world, obviously, but they would very much be welcome, and their lack felt in such an ambitious mod.

Still, whatever this mod ends up being, it will be glorious. It already is.

Warband is only outdated from the technical perspective. While Bannerlord has more potential, Warband generally has more features, even the base game.

These changes are garbage. Yes, the bows aren't exactly balanced in the vanilla game, but amass enough and they make a difference.

It wasn't just Produno and him arguing. There's literally a tons of reasons. And besides, he hurt his mod so much with the latest patch that I refuse to play it.
