No, I am not one of the devs, simply a fan who occasionally comes across the site.
However, I do like the idea of replacing all of the npcs with matoran. So far, they have a build on hand. I'm not too sure it's completely finished.
They seem to have a combination of official and custom parts rendered to put together the models for rahi and the like. So I don't believe they need a program for that. I could be wrong.
Don't worry about the lack of activity visible on the site, the developers tend to go long periods of time before announcing anything. During these periods, they still work on the project. In the mean time, just remain patient. If it interests you, you can join the beta for the newest version of the Toa Races. Just head over to their blogspot and download the zip.file.
Are you still open to suggestions on the matter of the secondary coloring of the Toa? If so, I have a solution. Instead of placing the secondary color of the Toa in the hair color slider, how about you simply place all possible color combinations in the main body color slider. Its not the best solution, but it seems to be a good substitute for the time being.
This plug-in is fantastic so far, the coloring options, mask powers, and the Toa powers and weaknesses also work well. Though I have encountered some problems, as to be expected from a newly released mod/beta. Such as: the game will crash with a gender change in the Toa; sometimes there is only one opportunity to make or change a Toa, resulting in another game crash. Despite some temporary bugs, this mod doesn't cease to amaze me, even the books in the Toa Sanctuary are compelling. In short the community and I thank you for your service, have a good day.
You and you team have done a great job with the character models, the masks and added abilities such as wind gust. A question I would like to ask is how far in the future could we expect a toa race and armor plug-in? And if so, then could you give us a set time period or date?
Thanks for the encouragement, this mod has had me on the edge of my seat since the day I discovered it. By the way there is also an impressive fan-made Bionicle movie on the way in the future called "Project Toa". you can see the video on YouTube and their progress on it on Facebook.
