I don't recommend the provided version, there is an issue with the tool tip text not showing up when combining or showing up in the wrong language when right clicking if you play in a different language than english. This has been fixed on August 10th. The Mac and Amiga Versions have been updated today. You also need to use a daily build and not the 0.3.1

No it should work on Windows, Mac and Linux, but you need to install ResidualVM as well, without the mod won't work. Installing on Windows is easy, on Linux you have to activate Proton to download it from Steam, if you can Download it on Mac I can't say.
On GOG it's as easy as downloading the offline installer and use WINE for Mac and Linux for installation.
