I have to agree with 50meone. The tools available at hand are well-documented and the support is there. It only takes more time to familiarize yourself with the tools and start a project. But in the end, it's all up to you, or your team. The more work you put in, the better the final product.
I have to agree. What a silly screen shot to try and show physics with.
Hmmm, I wasn't aware Far Cry used the CryEngine, but I guess the Cry in the name gives it away. Interesting...
EDIT: The MSI is actually on the Disc, not in the install dir, you should specify that.
I can see the images just fine.
I have a question, for the retail copy of Crysis, I don't believe the World Editor is included as an .MSI package.
Good basic tutorial, I can hardly wait to mess with the CryEngine2 ;).
Haha foarte frumos. A Romanian WWII Army Mod =)
I haev to agree with snah...the textures look very poor and it doesn't seem big at all :x.
But, don't let me get you down, I want to see the final version.
Oh my lord! It's finally here!!! This mod will never die!!!
Still the best Half-Life 1 Mod ever. :)
I'm going to have to agree with DJ-Ready. This totally feels like an alpha of ESF. This mod doesn't take ANY advantage of what the source engine can offer, yet. I don't want to put you guys down or discourage you because you've already got the great idea, but this mod will take a lot of work to please the public.
So, good luck guys.
Clearly, this mod is dead. That's too bad...
Guys...your domain expired :'(...This mod could be doomed :'(
Leyr, as far as I know they either used 3Ds Max, Maya, XSI or Milkshape 3D. These 4 programs are popular for creating Half-Life 2 Models.
I wish you luck on your Plunder Island modification. <-- First comment on your profile :)
I'll start my project VERY soon. I'm thinking of doing Grim Fandango or Monkey Island on the HL2 Source Engine, or UT2004, but I'll thnk about it. I hope a lot of people will appreciate the final product :) What engine do you guys think would be best for an 'Action/Adventure' Modification? This is going to be a large modification, which may result to custom .dlls etc...
Are you by any chance Romanian? I'm Romanian and I saw your little e-mail was @k.ro, so I'm just wondering if you truly are Romanian. If you don't feel comfortable answering here, just PM me.
I think that this team has an ingenious idea. It could actually become a very popular and really enjoyable modification using the Unreal Tournament Engine. I had thought of doing the same modification using a different engine, and some day, I probably will begin that project. So I salute you, Plunder Island Team, for starting this project and hopefully, finishing it.
-Best wishes and regards, Vecinu de la Patru :)
