Hello my friend. Thanks for this advice. Yeah, I am aware of this, that there are some stolen assets being sold "legally". I had a friend of mine, who is an experienced counter strike modder who helped me to identify many stolen assets I used on the first version of my game, so I was able to replace them for other assets (from Unreal Marketplace mostly).

But as I said, in a legal point of view, I have the invoices which proof I legally purchased these assets, so it is not my fault indeed. I learned game development through modding Source Engine Games, and it is much easier and faster, as a solo game developer, to buy a game-ready model than go there ripping the assets (which is not my case). Anyway, I could yes replace these assets, however, I will need to give a break on Fursan al-Aqsa Development, for various reasons (mainly lack of funding). Now I am trying to get a job as a character animator (I am doing many freelance jobs here and there), since Animation is my strenght and what I love most. So, the next update I will release, will probably be the last one for this game.

My game sold very well on Steam, compared to other indie games, but not enough to earn my living out of it.

No my friend. I am not stealing assets. All the assets I used for Fursan al-Aqsa (both Remake and Classic) are paid assets, I legally purchased them from 3D Assets Marketplaces, like CG Trader, Turbo Squid, Unreal Engine Marketplace, Unity Assets Store and the like. If some of these models I purchased are stolen from other games (I doubt it), the blame is not on me, but on the platform who is selling these supposed "stolen" assets. Yes, some maps I "copied" the layout from other games (Insurgency, Unreal Tournament 3, Goldeneye 007 and so on). When I say copied is that I recreated some of these maps inside Unreal Engine, only with some very small differences. Copying some map layout from other games is not copyrights infringements, many games do this also.

Ok my friend, no worries, I think we already came to an agreement, that the only thing about my game which is attractive to players is that you play as a Palestinian Rebel against the IDF. Yeah, that's all about, this is the selling point of my game. But, as I said before, I added many new and engaging gameplay features on my game, and the full version is more polished than the demo version. I am going to release a new update very soon, adding more steam achievements, I already added trading cards, badges, emoticons and all steam community items (I am using all of Steam's features for my game to make it more engaging). After this update, I may take a longer time to update my game again, many months, because I will be involved on my job and other activities.

But I am thinking on, instead of adding more missions for the Remake, give a break to create an online Multiplayer. I think that making an online multiplayer with frenetic action like the old times of Battlefield 2 (just like BattleBit Remastered have done), may trully appeal for more gamers to enjoy my game, not focusing on the political "propaganda", but just a multiplayer mode which allows players to choose among many palestinian factions and Israeli factions (police, army, mossad, special forces), adding many cool modes like Unreal Tournament 3 (Capture the Flag, Vehicles Mode, Team Deathmatch), adding cool things like drones, tanks, jetfighters, a true multiplayer game focused on the Israeli x Palestinian Conflict, without taking any side, letting players decide whom they want to play.

I think that this Multiplayer mode could shift the fate of my game, and trully make it among the top shooters on Steam. This FPS Framework Kit I am using in the UE4 Version (Fursan al-Aqsa Remake), has a basic multiplayer framework, I just would need to improve it more, adding new gameplay modes, improving the latency and other details. Maybe Fursan al-Aqsa Multiplayer could be a true new experience in Multiplayer Game, removing from the game all the "heavyness" of its controversial political message.

Sincerely,

Your nice "terrorist" friend, a.k.a "The most BASED game developer on Steam"

Just some closing words. I do not regret of developing this game, this was a long life dream for me, however, something very important I learned as a game developer, making a controversial game, or a game which addresses such sensitive topics in the way I addressed, is not the right way to make a sucessful game. It will indeed atract attention due its nature, its controversy, but it will as well attract too much hatred and criticism. I do not plan to make controversial games anymore, because it is very hard to make it achieve financial success. My game Fursan al-Aqsa achieved the goal I intended for, a political statement (very controversial). But this game will not find an audience big enough to compete with other games on the market (even though I can not complain about my game's sales, it did well, very well compared to other small indie games on steam). Anyway, I learned a lot about game development, and now I have enough skills to work on any type of game. I am also working as a freelance animator for many indie studios around the web. And like it or not, my game, the work I developed on my game, especially the animations, they serve as a portfolio for me.

I also forgot to say. Yes, there is a HUGE technical achievement on this project Fursan al-Aqsa, the classic version. Which is that I was able to get this running on the PS3 and Xbox360:

It comes back to another project of mine, some years before I officially announced Fursan al-Aqsa, UDK Ultimate Engine:

Wololo.net

So yes, I was the only one on this whole world who was able to fix and recompile the old UE3 Source Code Leak from 2011 (the same leak episode of Gears of War 3 Source Code). I did fix some missing code, rebuilt the Visual Studio Solution, organized all files and created the first 3D Homebrew Game Engine which allowed anyone to export a game for both PC, PS3 and Xbox360.

It did not get too much recognition on its time (2017-2019) because on that time PS3 and Xbox360 were already outdated and replaced by PS4 and Xbox One. If I was able to release this project on that time, the time of the leak, 2011-2012, it could have been the biggest achievement for the PS3/Xbox360 Homebrew Community. Even recently some people from the PS3 Homebrew Community reuploaded the UDK Ultimate Engine to the Internet Archive, kinda "ressurrecting" the project.

Dude, now talking seriously.

First of all, I do not have anything personal against you, and I apologize if I have been offensive towars your person.

My game itself is a very fun game to play. I think you are from the kind of gamers who judge a game by its graphics. Yes, Fursan al-Aqsa is not a eye candy graphical game for many reasons. You may say, look at the game Bright Memory, a solo developed game which has AAA visuals. I say, yes, it is very possible nowadays to make AAA graphics even working alone, but I did not want to make it. I liked to keep my game's graphics of the classic version to look and feel like Unreal Tournament 3 (the classic UE3 wet look) but I decided to improve a bit for Fursan al-Aqsa Remake, in Unreal Engine 4, since it uses PBR as the base material/shading system.

Yes, it does look subpar comparing with other games on Steam but from a graphics point of view, but there are too many gamers on steam who don't give a f****ck to realistic graphics. Have you never heard about Cruelty Squad? The game's graphics look ****, but the game is very fun and challenging. And those players who play and enjoy my game, they do not do it just because they agree with the game's political "propaganda" (as you say), but it is because they trully enjoy the game.

You can not say that these 2 reviews here are biased:
Hookedgamers.com
Christcenteredgamer.com

And read this player review here:
Steamcommunity.com

So yes, my game is for a very specific niche of gamers, first is for those gamers who enjoy an old styled gameplay, like the classic shooters of the 90's, and also it is for gamers who enjoy some non-sense memes and spicy jokes.

I am under my rights of freedom of speech to make a game and mock zionists, in the same way western media mocked us arabs in games and movies since many years. I am not playing victim, I am just giving to western media the same bitter taste they have given us, arabs and muslims, during many years. Who are playing victims? Zionists, yes, Israeli were always playing victims hiding behind what happened to them in the Holocaust, using this as a justification for all their crimes against Palestinians. Do you guess why Israel and Zionists have lost the media wars? Everyone is mocking Israel now because their mask of victimism just fallen down.

You made a good point, it is not possible to separate my game from its political "agenda" (as you say). But yes, this is the truth about my game, Fursan al-Aqsa.

So, my closing words is that Fursan al-Aqsa is a Video Game that, despite its very controversial political message, stands on its own as a game that brings a brand new perspective in video games, a perspective never portrayed before in shooter games. And this new and fresh perspective was praised by too many gamers on Steam, who were bored with the traditional USA Super Hero killing Arabistan Terrorists. Even a Steam player made a very beautiful poster which sums up the proposal of my game:

Imgflip.com

If you want, I can give you a steam key of my game, so you can play it and judge by yourself, since many people just judge my game by its political message.

Dude, instead of writing a wall of text like this, simply ignore my game, don't play it, don't waste your time and energy coming here everytime just to feel offended by my game (your comments clearly show that you got butthurt by my game). But, in the end of the day, this is just a videogame, a mockery game in the same tone and energy of Postal series LOL

First of all, I am thankful for having my game published here in IndieDB/ModDB and all other platforms. By the way, my game even earned last year a honorable mention on the players choice (Players Choice - Indie of the Year 2022):

Indiedb.com

I never insulted anyone here, in first place. But sometimes I answer them in the same way they make some very offensive comments against me, my person, my religion.

Do you think this comment here is ok?

"This bastard does not even live in Israel, Gaza, West Bank, lives in somewhere in Brazil"

Secondly, I am not responsible for what others say and publish here, I know that some of my game's supporter sometimes exaggerate on their comments, sometimes many comments are very offensive, but, again, I am not responsible for what others say.

Thirdly, I am not pushing "a political agenda" through my game. I am yes, making a pro-palestine game, in the same way Activision made a game pro-USA Military game, Call of Duty Series. It is nothing different, I just flipped the actors.

Last, but not least, as for your comment "its a subpar, below average title which only "quality" is a claim of its author that its somehow based", this is your opinion, and I respect your opinion, which I am sure it is just because you do not agree with the game's political message (I doubt you ever played my game). However, this is not the opinion of thousands of players and supporters who trully enjoy my game. Head here to Steam Reviews and you will see:

But it is a norm on steam to do some region lock on games whenever the game does not comply with the country legal demands. There is a chance of unblocking my game on Steam (Germany), which is to send it to USK to get an age rating. However, they ask almost 3k euros for an analysis without guarantee that my game will get an age rating. So I won't be wasting 3K euros just for maybe unban my game in Germany.
