I'm currently looking at the feasibility of implementing a speech recognition system with a final goal of leveraging that recognition engine to allow a player to control various aspects of a simulation / game (e.g., cockpit controls or squad commands).

General goals:

  • Sufficiently high recognition rate in non-optimal conditions
  • Ability to comprehend variations of commands without explicitly enumerating all possible variations
  • Near-real-time response time
