Nice to see the mod is still going...been a long one :)
As for the guns, those textures look odd...almost as if the guns are made of iron. Too rough, light, and foggy of a texture to look like a material used for a gun. Love the designs though :)

I think one thing people tend to be forgetting is that mods can be played on consoles for certain games. Through Microsoft's XBLA and such amateurs are able to put their mods on consoles as well as PC.
So I really don't see this as a bad move. This way they can optimize the engine to a point that was not possible before with that huge grey area hat PCs have where the hardware is not a known.
Expect to see some amazing performance and graphics. Only bad thing is the lack of Dx10 on consoles right now.
This mod is going to be awesome, more than just a WW2 theme pasted on the same old FPS gameplay.
And as for the name:
"One of the first missions we decided to do for the mod was Operation Deadstick, the British gliderborne assault of the Orne and Caen canal bridges, more commonly known as “Pegasus Bridge”. During the real operation the Commander was issued with two code words to be radioed back to England to report the outcome. The capture of the Caen canal bridge (Pegasus) was codenamed “Ham” and the Orne canal bridge (Horsa) was codenamed “Jam”. When both bridges were captured the message was sent back to England - “Ham and Jam”."
So please give them a break on the name as it has a significant meaning compared to most any other of ww2 formula.
Where was this program originally from? A STALKER mod site? Would be nice to know where all of the communities are.
2 suggestions on my end:
1- The scheme is hell on my eyes! Blue and black, icky.
2- Maybe having profiles for contributors like that of a mods that can hold all of their work instead of a profile for each piece. That way people can see all their work at once when things start getting full. (help keep things easier and organized).
Overall a good start though! But the colors are just horrible (no offence)!
"Does this release have that awesome new climbing feature I saw in that one video?"
Yes :)
Yes pvt. Johnson, it will work on Macs ;)
Boy how I wish my brother didn't loose my BF2 book with my CD key!!! GRRRR.
Looks good! Can't wait for this :)
While I understand that Source is a good engine and all, one thing about Zelda was that it was practically seamless...something that you can't really do on Source all that well. Since Zelda is a really loved game, you may only get one shot...so I would say that your best bet would to be wait for UT2k7 and use the UE3!
That is one of THE best character models I have seen in any mod! AWESOME! Even better than CS ones I would say!
How many modelers do you guys have?
I don't mean to be mean, but this is in NO shape to be released. There are tons of problems with it...if anything this should be an INTERNAL alpha...just seems a tad too anxious on thrying to get it out....
You made 3 mistakes, "authers" is spelled 'authors', "copius" is 'copious' and "ammounts" is 'amounts'
:)
Why where you trying to keep such a low PC??
Don't be lazy :P go to their profile!
LoL...it was awful!! You have got to be kidding if you thought it was great...but hey, no ones perfect.
clever stuff A++ :thumbup:
oops wrong form of Dam...:P
Well all of what I think has been metioned a million times...awesome craftmanship!!
My question to you is 1, is the damn BSP or a model and 2,how did you get such a crisp shadow??
Music isn't bad...a tad on the mega man side though...very midi...but true! :)
Love the renders too!
Well the only thing I did not like was the music...though it was cool and appropriate at times, its constant playing seriously gave me a headache and took away from some parts that could have been 'scary'. Other than that it is a great remake!
Nice stuff, but the guns are VERY under-detailed for the source engine.
The textures are nice...but blurry. All-in-all good job though!
those renders are nice...but if they are for the source version then I have some problems. Such as the low poly count, not that it has to be record breaking but you could significantly increase those with no impact to performance. Also the highlights on the gun are too much, as this is the source engine...it does most all that lighting for you.
other than that, GJ.
:( too bad I don't have 3dsmax...I mean if you don't know how to model why would you spend like 300 on a program. We need tuts for XSI and other free modeling programs. I am sure this is good though, end product is hawt!
but it would let us map for CS:S for now...
Blizzard does care though...prolly because this mod does better work than Blizzard has since SC.
oh. my. god. (tears of joy) that is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen...BTW how are you guys doing on your relations with Blizzard?
Just imagine what they could do with newer engines!
