Just bought the game on linux (xubuntu 12.04.3 LTS 32bit) and the game will not work at all, i have tried download and playing from Desura and also downloaded the InfectionLastRites-1.0.7.0.tar.gz file unpacked and tried running that and still it does not work, it does make a file called "
иD@0t
@8" which is zero bytes and thats all that happens, Please fix as i love FPS and zombies and linux don't have enough FPS games.

OK just went to your website and noticed that the specs for linux are 12.10 and 64bit, should really state that somewhere here on Desura, oh well thanks.

Game is working, but found a few bugs.

System:

xubuntu 12.04.2 (32 bit)
ATI Raiden HD 6870
AMD Bulldozer FX 3.6ghz
4 gb ram
Asus mother board with onboard sound.

Bugs:

Ball sometimes gets stuck inside the flippers, and ball also got stuck while playing on/in the top of the start tube thingy (not sure what to call it, its where the ball shoot's out of when you first start with down arrow)

Wish list:

Remap controls, i would have liked to use left shift and right shift (if possible).

Other then that it run and played okay, music and sound seem okay to, and thanks for the linux support.

Nothing higher then 1024x640 in settings for me.

Scrap that post, it seems Livalink which is unity engine runs prefect on my system, so i have no idea why this don't work.

Nice game, would have liked a single player story/level mode, and it needs higher rez settings in options (1920x1080 would be nice hint, hint).

The really amazing thing for me is, this is an unity engine game, and it runs on my system, which some others don't and some do if i drop back to an older ati driver, but this works with the new 13-1 driver from ati, welldone.

After trying all i could and web searching my fingers off, i have found out the Unity Engine and Ati Graphics cards/driver on linux don't play together, so game will not run, i have downloaded some other unity engine games and thay all drop back to desktop with no error, if running from a terminal you will get (most of the time) core shutdown but that may not be a error as such, the only unity engine game to work was the very first linux unity game released "RocHard" all newer games fail.

If your running linux and an ati graphics card ,5 HD series or up with driver 12.10 or up and unity engine games work for you on Linux please reply to post, Thank You.

You need to access Desura from a web browser and not the client, then log-in, then you can download the linux rar file.

Linux version not working for me, from a terminal i get this:

Sometimes i just get a black screen then it quits back to desktop, sometimes i get to see some graphics which looks like 2 monsters then it quits back to desktop?

Sorry i should have been more clear, i'm not feeling cheated by you, but more from Desura team, e.g.

1 - Should be in the alpha section
2 - Linux version should not be able to buy untill you can play it.

This is not the first problem i've had with desura, i still have game's i've bought that don't work on my system and all help in the forums have not helped at all, but untill Steam picks up i'm stuck with desura, so sorry about not being clear.

Its not in the alphafunding section, its still not showing up in my list of games for linux, and just after buying the game the price dropped 20%, If i had noticed it was an alpha test i would have waited before buying, i kind of feel cheated now.

No, not on linux, still not showing in my game list and if i press play game on this page then it tells me game not for my OS (xubuntu 12.04).

No 1.3 Linux showing in my list either, and the price has dropped, lol.

Not normally my type of game, but this game rocks, flat out detail at 1920x1080 on an ati 6870 Xubuntu 12.04 and looks fantasic, and the game play is just so easy and i'm doing well so far, totally awesome game and really worth the money, i hope more games on this engine come out from these developer's, thank you devs 10/10.

I like this game, not to hard and plays well, good on keyboard or a gamepad, for the price this is a top game has some minor control issues but its still very very playable, i give it 8/10.

Bought this a few days ago and after a few hours of messing around with the Libs folder i can finally run the config program but have to use terminal and sudo for settings to save, game now loads and intro plays, But it always crashes at the same place just as the intro go's into 3D and the man climbs out from under the van then touches his shoulder the game freezes and i have to control + alt + F3, then login and sudo reboot .
