You need any modellers to port or fix up leak models for retail?
The modelling quality is good, but when you're doing a mod inspired by raising the bar, wouldn't you want the designs to be faithful to that?

These designs are just bizarre and wrong, they simply aren't headcrabs, just crab crabs. They have nothing to do with the original designs or beta designs.

We've tried to do it ourselves a few times, but it's very hard to replicate that same charm those old lines have.
But that doesn't mean we wont find someway to recreate them!

I don't dislike this mod because of stolen content allegations.
I dislike it because it goes against a lot of what made Half-Life so special. It used video cut scenes so often and it's story, while having potential, simply ignores really "hunting down the freeman" in turn for trying to build a brooding story for a character that will ultimately die. The demo used unnecessary beta elements that while I love, do not have a place in the universe anymore, they don't fit in it anymore.
Half-Life is a immersive, linear experience that strives to not steal your freedom of exploration. You are Gordon, you interact with the story as it moves around you. Video cut scenes are not the way to go for this and the story telling tries to act like it's a movie, not a experience.
Lastly, you can't kill Freeman, he's the catalyst and the momentum of the Half-Life universe. Adrian never does and for the most part, hunting Gordon isn't his objective. The original expansions are expanded universe tales of the struggle of survival and the human spirit against horrifying odds. Teamwork, betrayal, all parts. It's not a vendetta and should never be. Every character makes their choices for their own goals, not out of spite.
I only can say this from the demo, so who knows, maybe everything is fixed, but until then, I see a mod that tries to tout itself as an important expansion of the Half-Life universe, while it defies what made that universe so special.

Oh don't worry, I did contrast the textures to fit the concept art, and knowing how I do stuff though I'll probably touch it up more soon enough.

That headcrab is the concept Headcrab from some art I.imgur.com. It's called the parasite since the original headcrab textures call it that.
seems like an actual effort to turn up the difficulty while keeping it interesting, enemies do more than just more damage, they think smarter.
It reminds me of doom modding, which Half-Life modding could benefit a lot more from.
