Hey everybody, thats my first blog spot. I just thought, maybe you all wanna know something about me or even I just write a little article to you all.

My name is Lukas Schaupp, I just got my 18 birthday and I love thinking about things. Doesn't matter for me if they are stupid or not. I love to philosophize about these things. Also I am from Germany, from a really little town and I just got back from a 10-month America trip.

Luke's first blog spot: The Charme of Life or how we like changes

I just published my second modification: Titan Quest Frozen World. Nope, I don't wanna do any stupid advertisment for it. I just wanna show you all, how I got to this mod. Why did I start this project. And how did I come up with the story of this modification.

Well, as you can see, the title of this paper is: The Charme of Life. And thats, neatly expressed, my idea. Dont we like changes? If we all would just stop everything in this world right now at this moment. With its technogial great things, the politics. Just everything. If we would just hold everything for one minute. We wont like it. It would be really boring. All computer games are made up about change. If we shoot somebody in Counter-Strike (we changed a specific situation) or if we drive against a garbage bin in Need For Speed....wasnt it great, that feeling to have the power to change something in this non-realistic, virtual world. Just to have the control...this power of change. And just how the garbage bin spins around over the car...for myself...it is just cool. Or if I crash against a crash barrier. Just the power of me and the physically virtual power of my car, just made that hole into the crash barrier. I love this change. This feeling. So, I thought about the next step, all videogames have one thing together, if I restart them (from level one), its all the same: it just starts from the beginning, the same levels, the same char., the same scripted scenes (which could have a random number of possobilties). I just thought about that. And then I started with my next project. I was fascinated from this idea. Just to show change in a way, to say, yeah you did this and now you are going to see some consequences. And thats all about. To show the consequence in a visual way, in a really BIG visual way. Not just that one person dies because of you, what you did as the player. No, the whole world, and their people should really mess up because of you. You did it one time, you had one chance and wont have anymore and you cant restart this game. (what is going to be my next project) You have to stand for that what you did. But it is anymore a game? Thats question! One chance, and the upcoming consequences! Well...I guess I have to continue my thinking about that at least.....

Best Regards
Lukas Schaupp
