Dammmmmn David. This looks great!
Dammmmmn David. This looks great!
Take the time and get it right! The new content looks great.
Impressive! I can see myself forgetting those
4 digit codes however which could be frustrating. Is there some kind of in-game notebook or "quest log" for want of a better word that you can bring up and remembes stuff like this for you?
It looked a bit awkward how you had to fling yourself back onto the train car after sending off without you around the loop with the mushrooms. What happens if the player misses getting back on the train car?
Love the atmosphere throughout. Got a very Metro 2033 / Last Light vibe from it (which is excellent!). Looking forward to seeing more.
The sound effect that plays when you snap a picture of a broken wall is really annoying btw :)
One thing that always bothered me with foilage in vanilla Stalker and most mods I've played (Misery, Autumn Aurora etc) is the awful aliasing on the edges of leaves and twigs that creates this nasty shimmer effect when there is lots of foilage in close proximity.
A lot of newer games seem to have solved this issue (I am no artist so I don't know how they did it, perhaps alpha-to-coverage is something that helps?) and it would be lovely to see it solved in Stalker as well.
As for the comparison, it looks great!
All that hard work is paying off. This looks wonderful!
That sexy wireframe view! :)
Latest screenshots look like a giant leap in quality, congratulations!
Really looking forward to playing this! So much work!
Not dead, just very busy irl! If you can't wait to play the map there is an older version of it in the RavenholmVille map pack over at planetphillip.com -- This new version will have some additional polish and bug fixes the game play will be similar.
Try going to game settings -> controls and click the "default" button then try loading your save. I had a problem where the changed config stopped me from loading my save game, resetting it fixed it.
Great news, congratulations on the greenlight!
This is looking great. Big improvements!
Great to see that Hatch 18 is still in progress. I had it in my head that this project was dead, very glad to see I am wrong! :)
Ooh, glad I checked the Half-Life 2 modding section today, tracking this :) Good luck with it!
Looks great, the only thing that bothers me is the transition from map -> skybox. It is very clear, perhaps some evening orange/yellow distance fog could help with the transition.
I believe you don't start with a flashlight in black road? You have no equipment!
Looking forward to playing, these new screenshots look ace!
Screenshots look great David! Looking forward to playing this one.
Looking forward to what you guys come up with. Hatch 18 was one of my favourite mods of 2012.
Oh no, that's awful :(
As others have mentioned, I hope you made backups!
I prefer the original also :) The colours fit the mountainous forest style much better imo. I also prefer the concrete texture used on the bridge structure in the original shot, something just doesn't look quite right with the new one, perhaps the normal map is too strong or something, it looks almost cartoon-y.
Love the rest of the shots though!
Definitely looking forward to this. That screenshot of the combine area in particular had me drooling slightly :)
This is looking very tasty indeed :)
I am getting this exact same error in the same spot :( Really enjoying the mod up until this point however, fantastic work so far! A real shame that crashes like this happen.
