this gunship, something seems a bit off about it. it seems, just a slight bit derpy. maybe it's the distance of the engines from the body, it reminds me of those toy helicopters that have 4 fans.

i looked at that and instantly saw experimental super sonic / super heavy transport. or both of those.
interesting, looks nice. though the hull looks almost backwards with it's shape ;)
now if only it was a gattling system.
better yet, a gattling gattling system ;)
when i first looked at it, i thought wtf a turtle.
then i looked at it a bit, and i started to see the pieces. but it still looks like a turtle. it looks great, but the point being, a turtle?
this would basically be my only concern about this unit. the connections to the engines look a bit dangerous.
the unit looks real nice. i like that praying mantis look.
looks great. i wonder if those tracks are a bit tall though.
is it just me or is the cockpit area extra blocky? the rest of the craft isn't quite so, makes me feel like it's extra front heavy and if the engines weren't running it wouldn't glide, it would nosedown and smash.
fantastic, however the turrets on the shoulders seem... frail.
and the head is a bit confusing at first glance.
definitely matches UEF though ^^
ooh, that's a tough contest. the P1500 and this are pretty neck and neck.
have no fear indeed, with the biggest guns. ;)
get me a time machine to go 500 years in the future and i will ;)
but yeah, the rubber(neoprene...) looks somewhat out of place.
probably better off with some sort of jet turbine that floats the hovercraft on a bed of air.
take note, if you remember in the Matrix, the ship is called a 'hovercraft', but it doesn't have a skirt, it has force pads on all sides so it can 'hover' on them.
hmm. looks a bit stubby. the front view looks great. the other views make it look like a flying metal box of sorts.
taking note of the previous design - why not have a transforming unit? be a predatory plane for fast moving, but less firepower and takes more damage - and the boxed up look(not this boxed up though.) to be more of a meatshield and hover over an area and own it, rather than chase things down or escape from a dangerous situation.
just an idea though.
fantastic. matches Cybran exceptionally well.
the legs are a bit thin compared to the body, or the body compared to the legs, either way. but it's fantastic as it is anyways.
i think the head should look a little more... dangerous. give it that aggressive edge. it has a slight bit of that already, but i'm thinking a little more. and maybe the visor could be a little brighter to stand out more.
it matches everything else they make, lol. i could see cybran having a spider ACU, and spider spiders riding spiders with spiders driving them.
i'd need to agree with the others and say that it does seem like it's missing something. maybe more dishes?
(possibly 3 of that existing dish making a triangle on the top and spinning slowly)
it looks great as it is, just missing salt and pepper ;)
ah, the return of the real fatboy. glad to see this. i like the shield on it, as i always thought the fatboy in SC / FA was rather easy to kill.
only real complaint would be (other than apparently the tracks don't rotate, :/) that the unit seems to be too paintbucket-like textured. i'd like to see more variation in color, more differences, much like SC2's fatboy there. yno, some contrast.
hmm. it's cheaper, less powerful, doesn't regenerate, and is T3 - but it's so damn huge. i'd suggest scaling it down to atleast the size of the ACU.
very interesting mod. you had me sold at dynamic maps that grow and change the battlefield over time, but the very nicely done units and HUD elements make it better still.
i'll be interested in seeing how this mod moves forward.
agreed - that leading edge could use a touch up, smoothing would probably be enough, but cutting that edge rounder wouldn't hurt either.
else, great work, albeit a tad bland, but it looks very nice.
agreed. the charging handle is not wide enough to reasonably use, and it might clip through the fingers on the hand.
also the foregrip and the trigger could use some smoothing or some more polys.
hah. i'd love to see this happening, disintegrating the pilot would be cool.
fantastic. players can communicate players that are in the way, so they can reposition so the group can effectively combat the threats, instead of teammates wasting ammunition or shooting each other.
yeah. most games portray either the 9mm beretta as either a mini cannon, or a paintball gun. either some immensely exaggerated blam, or just a piffle. it's pretty proper, and the minor bit that it is off, isn't of the utmost importance.
also, kudos for remembering to have multiple recoil animations, so that the gun doesn't always move to the same place and direction when you fire. too many mods forget that.
and i like the arms quite a lot! the hands look like he's been attacked and killed something with his bare hands but otherwise.
atm, even though these are just textured brushes, they don't look half bad. they are cut and textured in such a way where they look good, for something so simple. granted they look good at this distance, i imagine that those are still the base source textures, and haven't been optimized or replaced yet.
from this video the question that arises in me is, if this is going to be multiplayer, are there going to be vehicles? we all know the vehicles in source work fine in singleplayer but in multiplayer because of ping work terribly.
i think it would get annoying - maybe if the ticks were a bit smoother. they're rather, sharp, and the patterns for closer detections are annoying.
remember, audio is half of the whole experience in a game or movie!
your reason for paying for this would be that there are no sourcemods at this time that have an FPS/RTS hybrid build that actually works well, for either component. empires is really not very good. it's inefficient, underpolished, and loaded with dozens and dozens of bugs.
i agree there. the resource system in SupCom2 makes the game boring.
i'm dissapointed with the sequel, the game itself i find to be pretty boring. it's not as fun as the original, and most of the units are no longer in existence.
