Thanks for posting the updated version. Also, what does upgrades.cfg do? is "Full outfit upgrades" or "full weapon upgrades" something that skips needing to give the technicians toolboxes?

Loving it so far, really liking the changes to the weapons/NPC loadouts/etc
Something weird about Adams having a TAR-21 but I'm guessing that's because in betas or pre-release versions he actually had one
The adjusted difficulty is neat so far too

Gate, where the friendly AI refuses to shoot the enemies that release the nerve gas or delete the evidence?

As long as it's not a New York Minute run you can reload checkpoint, even in Score Attack mode
It's only really bad in NYM because it has no checkpoints

Why does this mod remove the "toggle run/walk" keybinding that vanilla DX1 had? Very inconvenient, holding down SHIFT for too long to run across some of the larger areas makes my fingers hurt.

Is it also possible to disable the view-bob when running? Option to disable that like in DX1 also seems to have been removed.

Other than that, my absolute favorite mod, the gunplay is so much better than vanilla DX1 because the guns are more lethal and their rates of fire are more realistic, no more locked burst-fire assault rifles and no more pistols shooting as slowly as a single-action revolver.

I like how this version fixes certain cutscenes causing issues when skipped, but that only seems to be for Story Mode? In Arcade Mode, certain cutscenes still cause issues when skipped for some reason.

Cutscenes that cause issues when skipped only in Arcade Mode:

CH1: After Saving Fabiana (skipping causes getting stuck if done before Max runs down the hallway)

CH7: Investigating the Warehouse (skipping causes insta-death if done before Max says "testosterone fest," IIRC)

CH8: Morgue to Chapel (skipping causes improper level loading if done before Max and Passos enter the chapel)

Is it possible to play in windowed 1920x1080 by using DgVodoo or something? I was able to get SWAT 3 running in windowed mode with DgVodoo, so I wonder if the same works for R6BO...

I do like the mod and it's pretty good, only bothersome thing I remember about it is all the weapons being forced to "semi-auto" by default instead of "full-auto" by default.

I think there was a way to mod them to be full auto again in the .ini files, though. Not sure if that would break multiplayer though, I never play multiplayer much anyways.

I love how this mod makes enemy accuracy more reasonable. Absolutely essential mod, thank you for making this. Raven Shield is a lot more fun when you're not getting auto-headshotted across the map by a dude spraying a machine pistol. The insane enemy accuracy in vanilla was BS, almost like they're using the same auto-aim mechanics as you do (including the auto-aim always getting headshots).

I also love how armored enemies are added, since vanilla Raven Shield never had them for some reason, which was a huge design flaw when even Rogue Spear had armored enemies you needed to use FMJ rounds on. Compatibility with Athena Sword and Iron Wrath is a huge plus, as Elite Counter Terror mod was never compatible with those, IIRC. I just wish there was a mod to merge the Raven Shield/Athena Sword/Iron Wrath campaigns into one huge mega-campaign, honestly.

Also if anyone is confused which version to download, I think you only need to download "General Realism Mod V2" (Released Oct 11 2017)?

Is there a way to reduce NPC accuracy? Playing with increased damage is unfun when NPCs keep sniping me through bushes and leaves from long distance.

My method is probably to reduce player health by 0.5x to compensate for the 2x DMG to all body parts. I'm not sure if this would make Infamous difficulty impossible, though.

If there are any segments where the player taking damage is mandatory, then the player would have too little health to survive those segments. For example, I once tried to mod Spec Ops: The Line so that everyone would have 0.5x HP. This made a segment where the player had to outrun a Little Bird helicopter outright impossible on the hardest difficulty known as FUBAR Difficulty, because the player kept taking mandatory, scripted damage during the sequence and died every time due to having too little health.

EDIT: Went ahead and used the guide to reduce the player's overall max health AND each health bar by 2x. Player still feels a bit spongy in the early game on Infamous difficulty while enemies actually die in a 3-round burst to the chest. Do I have to start a new game for my mod changes to player health to take effect?

Thanks for making this. The only thing missing is the 2x weapon DMG from your other Far Cry 2 mods, so I used the Almost Complete Guide to modify the hit locations damage multipliers to be doubled (Ex. Bodyshots do 2x DMG, leg shots do 1x DMG, headshots do 12x DMG) and it makes the combat so much better.

Maybe I could have manually edited weapon DMG so that everyone (Player/Enemy/Buddy) does 2x DMG, but that's a lot of work and just editing the damage multipliers is adequate enough. I do not know if the damage multipliers for hit locations affect the player or buddies, but they sure do affect enemies.

Thanks for also making the modding guide for FC2. Breathes new life into the game by empowering the community to be able to mod the flaws this game had, like the bulletsponge combat.

I found it: Press enter and type in "Teamshadow" so you'll be invisible to the AI. The same console commands for Rogue Spear also work for Black Ops 2.0 mod.

There's no "skip mission" console command like in Raven Shield, unfortunately. This is the best I can do with skipping these BS ghost missions.

Is there a way to skip the BS stealth (or recon, or wiretapping, or whatever) missions when doing a playthrough on a fresh save file? Operation Yellow Knife is absolute ******** and forced "ghost missions" (stealth without killing or being seen) in R6 Trilogy always sucked.

Reinstalled New Vegas, did a Pluginless install on MO2 + no manually installing XNVSE, JIP-LN, etc (Is UIO still required?). Now it gives a weird crash-to-desktop now with no error messages, and only VUI+ is enabled in MO2.

I won't be home for the weekend on my main PC but I'll probably get back to more experimenting and trying to find what exactly breaks the main menu and conflicts with VUI+ whenever I feel like doing it again.

Might take a while because I'm not really in much of a New Vegas mood right now, I've been re-addicted to other games.

I'm more familiar with Bandizip than 7Zip. I managed to archive the subfolders (which now show hidden files inside the subfolders when viewed in 7Z and only 7Z) but I am unable to upload them somehow by dragging into my Google Drive. And they're only visible in 7Zip, not the file explorer that Win10 has.

A work-around for that was to use the Add button to make a 7zip, then extract it (so it'll finally be visible in file explorer), and then make it into a zip file.

I have VUI+ installed through MO2 instead of manually in the New Vegas data folder

Starting to suspect at some point it might be easier to just nuke my installation of NV and start over again, then see if I still get the main menu issue with VUI+ because there's something I probably missed along the way
