I know that the suppressor on the Mark IIS is integral to the barrel, so my question is, as I see a separate model of the suppressor: If you will implement both variants of the Sten, will they be two separate guns, or the suppressor will be an attachment that will replace the standard barrel?
I would much rather go for the first option, make them two separate guns, but that share the same config file, being the Mark II the standar variant, and the Mark IIS a special, unique or very rare variant.

Neither do I, but I will install an Arsenal mod or whatever for it as soon it's a available, but first, LA must be released.
Regarding DICE, they almost hit the right spot in BF2, the models were correct and animations were decent, but starting going downhill with the Bad Company series with their mirrored models, incorrect animations, weird ironsights. With BF3 they eliminated most of that crap, and even added much needed features like 2 types of reloads, +1 in chamber in weapons that support it. But yet, they still had some of those weird ironsights. Off course, there are far better games in that deparment, like Red Orchestra 2. It's hard to have everything in only one game.

The idea was to grip it by the slope of the lower receiver. In practice the soldiers didn't used that technique because it's not very useful for recoil control.
The jerries made some clones of the Sten during WWII called the MP 3008. Those had a more normal magazine well placed below the receiver.

MoH: Spearhead is probably one of the few games that has the Mark V variant, which has wooden stock, pistol grip and foregrip.
Vietcong included the Mark IIS in the Fist Alpha expansion. Vietcong 2 also had the Mark IIS as per standard.

Back then in 2002-2004 features like mirrored gun models, unrealistic ballistics/firerates/mag capacities, one reload animation per firearm, hip firing only, were pretty common in FPS games. The first Call of Duty set a lot of standards in stone in 2003, reverting most of the unrealistic features I mentioned early. As funny note, GSC actually used Counter-Strike gun sounds as placeholders in the early builds of ShoC, back then when it was Oblivion. Some of the vanilla gun models are like 10 years old, while they are very well modeled, even for today standards is tolerable, the mirroring just ruin them. Back in 2007, when ShoC came out, the model mirroring was tolerable, but now it just looks silly. Don't get me wrong, some big devs like DICE took their time to perfect their weapons. Before BF3, they still used mirrored models and one reload animation per gun. Bohemia's ArmA II still has lame and generic reload animations.

Nice touch in adding that loop on the magazine. It's not often seen in videogames. Props to the modeler.

It could have some use for launching less-than-lethal and non-lethal grenades: smoke, tear gas, flashbang, but I agree that a guy with a standalone grenade launcher like the ones you mentioned can do a better job.
For gaming purposes, a GP-95 mounted under a 9a91 could have some use for killing mutants, or at least to soften them up until they come close so you can finish them down with bullets.

It's actually 1800rpm. While you can't emulate the fullauto dual-firerate on a STALKER game, you can, however, increase the firerate and sacriface the fullauto mode, leaving only the semiauto a 2-round burst modes, for the sake of balance.
Normally I do that on every STALKER mod I come to play. That way the, AN-94 it's not just an ugly AK'ish rifle, but something more comparable to an M16A2, which has semiauto and a 3-round burst mode.

On the first pic you can see that they added a rubber buttpad to absorb the kick of the 40mm grenade.
That in practice it's not very safe, that's another thing, but that they designed a 40mm grenade launcher for the 9a91, they did.

Maybe I'm asking much, but I would love to see grenade launcher attachment for it. The real life 9a-91 do have an underbarrel grenade launcher designed specifically for it called the GP-95. It uses the same 40mm caseless grenades that the GP-25 and GP-30 use.

Don't worry, I managed to get it to work. It wasn't that hard. There's no need to edit the fsgame.ltx. By unpacking the weapon config files in the gamedata/config/weapons folder it works. Now I declare this mod almost-perfect.
Don't mind the comment below this one. ;-)

Who thought that it was a good idea to not make the mod difficult to edit?
If you think that a double shot mode is better than aiming down the sights, then at least let the shotguns have the same accuracy regardless the stance.

I love this mod but I only have one mayor gripe or two:
Why I can't aim with the double barrel shotguns anymore? I don't like the double shot mode and to have to low crouch in order to get optimal accuracy, specially with buckshot ammo.
Normally I would try to edit that myself, but it's not as easy as in other mod. I unpacked the files, but I couldn't make the game to accept them.
Can you guys help me with this issue. How I should configure the fsgame.ltx file in order to fully use the unpacked files.

Other than that I'm really enjoying this mod.

Hey, that's a good idea, I'm gonna change the STG-44 caliber too. This mod doesn't have enough 7.62x39mm rifles.

To tell if the ironsights are aligned properly or not I painted a dot on the center of my screen with a black Sharpie marker (you can erase it with isopropyl alcohol or any non-corrosive solvent) by simply hightlighting where the crosshair white dot is. I know, it's a very improvised mean, but very useful for modding purposes nonetheless.

One think I found really outrageous is the PPSh-41. Why it's 7.62x39mm? It's totally unfeasible and impractical. I noticed that Misery's team didn't implement 7.62x25mm rounds, that is the original caliber for this weapon. What I did is to change it to 9x19mm. In real life PPSh-41 were converted to 9mm by the germans, lots of them were used during the Berlin Wall days by East Germany. The TT-33 is also 9mm, this time I forgive you since it's realistic. Norinco, for example, makes Tokarev pistols in 9mm Parabellum. It's only a barrel swap.

I'm really liking this mod, I'm playing as a Sniper, but sadly this mod it's programmed for 16:9 widescreen resolutions, I'm currently fixing that issue so I can play it on my 17" display. It's just the weapon, some of them have the ironsights misaligned if you play the mod in a 4:3 resolution.
Also, I don't like that most weapons have a 80% of hit chance, never like that. The ammo is scarce already, that 20% percent handicap is unnecessary. I also don't like that zoom out when you aim down the sights.

That AN-94 looks weird with those corrosion stains. Did you know that the AN-94's receiver is entirely made of fiberglass reinforced polyamide, a type of polymer? It doesn't "corrode" with wear or mistreatment. Yeah, it may get stained with blood, mud, sh!t and other external filth, but it doesn't rust.

Yeah, don't let yourself being fooled by some hardcore gamers that think that more recoil=more challenging gameplay=better.

I think that devs should/must cater to authenticity, specially when it comes to firearms portrayal.
In real like, an AK-74 doesn't kick like in LURK or vanilla CoP at all, not even the AKS-74U. If one doesn't have first hand experience with firearms you should ask someone who does, or watch videos on youtube to at least have an idea of how these weapons behave.
The same with aim sway. Putting unrealistic ammounts of recoil and aim sway only render the weapons useless.

It's a Ruger GP-100, .357 Magnum, and as per typical, any .357 magnum revolver can use .38 Special rounds although it's unlikely that this mod will feature .38 special rounds.

Bottom line, replacing the OEM cooler of your graphics card is a must if you want to extend its life expectancy, unless it's a high-end GPU with a gargantuan cooling device, bigger than the card itself. The same with processors.
You kept the original cooler, that's why your card died.
