this was made to reduce the weight of the mod (and perhaps it improved the startup loading speed a bit).
You should play through the main campaign to open the bonus challenges. First challenges will unlock after completing the "Test Chamber 13" Chapter. They will become available in the new game menu, the game will scroll you to it by itself.
To change the gamemode you should use Dpad Up and Down.
I never encountered any problems with the camera movement and vibration. Maybe because i use Dualshock 4 with DS4Windows emulating the X360 Controller.
I ported X360 Menu to HL:S too)
Standalone Steam version.
You can always use the [ctrl]+[+] or [ctrl]+[-] in your browser to make it bigger or smaller.
Okay, the new design is there, finally!
I will fix Header and Description a bit later, because i don't have access to the pc right now.
Hope you like it!
Okay, i found some free time and got it working.
For now, to fix it, you should:
1 - Opt out of all betas (hl2, ep1 and 2).
2 - verify the game files (hl2, ep1 and 2).
3 - copy all files from the 'Half-Life 2 Update\bin\' folder to 'Half-Life 2\bin\' folder.
4 - reinstall the mod(don't use old instructions, just copy the files).
And please tell me there, will it work for you or not.
Still, when i will have more time, i'll release new version of the mod with new instruction and hl2u bin folder.
You should download this:
How to install Icon Packs/Bigger Portal Crosshair:
1. Download the archive and unpack it
2. Choose any folder that you want and copy "custom" folder from it to:
HL2/HL2:U - game’s root directory/hl2/
HL2:Ep1 - game’s root directory/episodic/
HL2:Ep2 - game’s root directory/ep2/
Portal - game’s root directory/portal/
Also, don't forget to read descriptions, there are always instructions hidden it them.
P.S. Also i've noticed that i firgot to change the file name in XOne icon pack.
P.P.S. Fixed and reuploaded, you can download it again or simply change the file name from buttons_32_XONE_V2.vtf to buttons_32.vtf in the last folder of that pack.
It's his new name. In HL1 and addons, every guard was called Barney, but in BM some of them have their own names, so we thought that it would be good to change the name.
yep, that's not a virus. False alert.
Перезалили в формате .zip, теперь проблем быть не должно.
You can't launch the mod?
If you don't have asheep.exe, you can create it yourself.
Simply create the bms.exe shortcut, click right mouse button on it, open "Properties", and add "–game asheep" at the end of the "Target" field, so it would look like that:
"X:\Steam\steamapps\common\Black Mesa\bms.exe" -game asheep
If you have asheep.exe, then try to run it in the compatibility mode.
You'll see... there are only 3 days left.
Its release is november 18th, not october.
It is the official teaser of the demo.
What about the trailer of the whole part one - time will show...
It was more than two months since the release of the mod. I know that there are people still waiting to get their 720p- or 4k-optimised version of the mod.
I am not dead, and the update will release, but not so soon as i thought. Now i need to do all study things first, and as soon as i finish with them, i'll continue the work on the update.
read the installation instructions. You should subscribe to beta versions of the HL2 and episodes in steam.
maybe you should try to reinstall the original font files from the game.
In my mod, crosshair should appear only on the places where you can place portals. And i did not tweaked it, it should the standart behaviour for portal's crosshair with use of controller.
Wow, that is interesting. I've never encountered this. Have you tried to verify the integrity of the game files in steam?
Wow, that's good then.
I'll try to send it to you when i'll have time for it.
I ported the leaked Source 2007 GameUI code to Source 2013.
I think that sharing leaked src that is even working on the latest version of the game is kinda illegal, but you can port it by yourself.
When I was trying to port it, I had no c++ knowledge and skills to do coding, but it took some time to look at the source code and files to understand how it all works)
Or, you can use the Alien Swarm UI, it's free to use, and there is it's code ported into HL2 sources somewhere in github.
Hello i'm worker of this mod. ;D
1 - I don't know, but for now the answer is no.
2 - No, there are no scr code of BM.
3 - Same as 2.
I think no, sorry.
you could try this:
Don't tap on ESC in message dialogs, Mouse in menus is not usable, so use navigating arrows as D-pad. Enter is A button, Backspace is B button, and, i think, TAB is X button.
I made these binds for faster navigating through menus.
Also, open your console and write "exec config_default".
Most of the hints were made only for gamepad, it has only the controller buttons, and hints will not show Keyboard/mouse keys.
The FOV is default. If you're talking about gif with M4, it looks like this only when we look up to the end, you can try this with vanilla Black Mesa.
Maybe we will include it as a custom model, and you would choose which one you will install...
It will not be available in this mod because it's just singleplayer project, but we will release at least one MP map for original BM as a bonus.
