Yeah - kinda of like a free-for-all bash between South Slavic tribes (and their neighbors) just after they arrived in Balkan area.
Let's say - before Franks arrived with their Knights, or Hungarians and Bulgarians with their Horse Archers.
OTOH - it might be fun to leave that part for the later part of the game. So, it would be like a 'Can you build your Kingdom before it's overrun?' kind of game.
(Like in Medieval: Total War with the Mongols - if you're not strong enough by the time they arrive - you're toast.)

But (and there's always a but) Japan was always much more densely populated than Europe - or even China.
So if the map is twice as large than Native - shouldn't the number of towns, forts and villages be, like, quadrupled? At least?
