I am delighted to announce that my VR Game Twobit Odyssey now supports the Gear VR Controller! But most importantly, it is now fully compatible with the awesome Oculus Go! Feedback has been incredible so far and I would like to thank everyone who has played the game!

Twobit Odyssey is an unique VR puzzle-platform game I released last year. Only using your gaze or the VR controller, guide a little robot in a strange world, helping him solve problems and puzzles, and ultimately unravel the mysteries of his origin.

I feel that the VR Controller adds a LOT to the game. Although the original Gaze control is still available in the option menu, this new way of controlling Twobit is a lot more fun and intuitive. If you want to play the game (or try the free demo), please let me know if you find any issues or bugs, this was a major upgrade and I want to make sure I didn't miss anything...

Twobit Odyssey is available in the Oculus Store (and is currently 50% off for Halloween!):
Oculus.com

And don't forget that a FREE demo called 'Twobit' is also available and features the first three levels from the game:

If you are interested to know more about the game, please visit the official website at:

Thank you for your help and support :)

Here is the second and last part of the full playthrough for my Gear VR game Twobit Odyssey! Looking back at it, it took me a whole year to develop the game and, as a solo developer, I am still amazed that I pulled it off. Although I've been making games as a hobby for 30+ years, releasing a finished and official game was a very exciting adventure - and, most importantly, it showed me that I could do it! I've now been busy working on my next game and you can see some early images there if you're interested (http://www.squidbeamgames.com/bnm/index.htm). Let's make games!

A new version of Twobit is now available! This patch (v1.5) includes a lot of new things!

Oculus.com

- Dramatically improved performance
- New display quality options (although the game runs fine on my s6 at 60fps without overheating)
- Improved Twobit response
- Found and fixed the bug that would make him freeze at times
- Twobit can now see things that you can't (such as flows of energy), which can give you clues on how to solve the puzzle

I have also added a lot of new things here and there, such as clues/tips when you go back to the menu screen and more feedback when you complete the room. I've also started working on the full game, I will keep you updated soon!

I am delighted to announce that the Gear VR version of Twobit has been approved for release on the Oculus Store! It will be available for free on October 19th 2016!
First a huge thanks to everyone who helped with the Beta testing! Your feedback was invaluable and very much appreciated! Second, even though being approved for release is exciting news, we are now very busy spreading the word about Twobit before it is out! No time to rest! :)

A new alpha for my game Nektonik is now available to play!

Squidbeam.com

This version has a LOT of improvements and new features, here are a few:

* New Game Option menu allowing you to change the game's difficulty, quality and to also switch to the tablet PC mode (the touchscreen mode is a lot of fun!)
* You can now test your Nekton in the Gene Lab
* The 'spike' Nekton can now shoot projectiles

Feel free to test it out and share your feedback, be it positive or negative. This demo uses the Unity Web Player, so it won't work in Chrome, sorry.

Thanks :)

Hi,
Sorry, I've been so busy at work... Rhaaaaaa... :)
Thank you for your awesome feedback, I really appreciate it. You are right, the Unity web player is sadly not supported in Chrome anymore... but it should still work in other web browsers.
I totally didn't know about Solar, I checked it out and it totally looks like my kind of game too! Flow (as well as Spore) really motivated me to create Nektonik, although my game is based on a life simulator I wrote back in 1995. The aesthetic of Flow is superb and so mesmerizing, amazing game for sure.
Take care and I should have a new build available really soon :)

Nektonik Alpha update #3

A new alpha of Nektonik is now available to play:

Squidbeam.com

Once again, I fixed tons of little things, but the main changes are:

• Much improved controls
• Entirely redesigned the editor 'info' workflow
• Removed the split icon and combined it with the split counter

As always, all the feedback is welcome, be it positive or negative.

Thanks :)

I have just updated the playable Alpha for the game. As before, you can play it now in a web browser (Unity Web Player) here:

Squidbeam.com

Although I fixed tons of little things here and there, here are the main changes for this new version:

• improved controls (still needs work)
• life/health bar
• new UI sound effects
• level 5a is now complete!

As always, all the feedback is welcome, be it positive or negative.

Thanks! :)

Hi everyone!
Nektonik is still in heavy development but I would need your help. Feel free to try the web-browser alpha and let know what you think. Feedback is very welcome, be it positive or negative. It will greatly help me improve the gameplay and the game overall. I love life simulation games, but I also enjoy playing action and exploration games, this is why I tried to blend these concepts in Nektonik - please let me know if Nektonik is a game you would enjoy playing.

Thanks for your help :)
