And thank you for responding. That's reassuring to hear! I'll try the mod then, because I found the premise quite interesting :)

I do not mean to insult with this question, but please answer me if possible:
Last time I heared of this mod, it contained materials from other commercial games (I instantly recognized soundbits from games such as Battlefield 2 and the SWAT series), which kept me from downloading it as of yet. I'm part of a modding team myself, and I know how much work goes into such assets. We had our own share of problems with people nicking our assets, and we had our own share of copyrighted material that we had taken out after we learned that it wasn't original.
Before I get this, I need to know: Has this been officially adressed? Are the files taken out?
Thank you in advance. Please do not take offense, I merely want to stand by my principles. If I am mistaken entirely, please let me know and I'll stand corrected.
No. PR is mainly a multiplayer mod. While there is a co-op mode, the bots can't handle the way PR works. They'll behave as if it was BF2, which makes them extremely predictable. They often end up getting stuck or not finding the correct objective to attack.
The combat is much better anyway, though, simply because the weaponry of PR is much more fun to use. But when playing PR, forget about singleplayer. Multiplayer's where it's at.
There's several soldiers in the team, many of which have already been deployed.
You need 1.41 and 1.5, then PR.
If you think PR's an FPS like CoD, you might be mistaken. It is a completely different story. The difference between one FPS and another can be larger than the difference between a roleplaying game and a strategy game.
You can get it, Goo321. Join a game as US Army (any game mode except for vehicle warfare), go to a crate, press T, select the grenadier kit and right click(!). Then pick it up and you have an M4 Carbine with M203 and EOTech.
You'll only get the ACOG when you LEFT CLICK. Press the RIGHT mouse button when requesting the kit and you'll get an aimpoint or EOTech. (Can not be spawned with in co-op).
All US Army maps I think. Right click the grenadier kit and you'll get the EOTech. At least I think so - Marine grenadier (unscoped): M16A4+Aimpoint, Army: M4+EOTech. Not 100% sure though.
The main difference is: Oblivion is at least partly story driven, while Mount & Blade has no real story. Oblivion is high fantasy while Mount & Blade is very low fantasy. Oblivion is based around magic and fantastic combat while Mount & Blade is relatively realistic with a very impressive combat system, especially regarding mounted combat. Oblivion is about you as an individual hero solving simple tasks and epic quests while Mount & Blade is about you as the leader of an army doing whatever you want for whomever you want.
Also, Morrowind > Oblivion.
No problem, you have your opinion, and if you don't like it (and tried it!) that's just fine.
Congrats PR, finally 1st :)
Halberds ftw :p
Your mod looks very well done, I might be getting HL2 for it, because it looks really promising. Keep it up!
No singleplayer at the moment. A seperate single player mod is to be released though, but the real experience isn't possible in SP - the game is way to complicated for a bot to understand, which is good.
