Replicators. They'd actually EAT the Borg, wheras the Borg would be forced to deal with them the way the Asgard did. The Asgard lost, and they wouldn't have been considered food the way the Borg were. Generally speaking, the Borg would lose to almost all of their sci fi counterparts - they were tough in their universe, but they share the weaknesses of both a biological and machine race for having the strengths of both. While they're invulnerable to most energy weapons and can survive vacuum, they remain quite vulnerable to old fashioned projectile weapons, biological warfare and abominations such as the Replicators. Their ships were durable, but lacked the sheer firepower that ships of similar size had in proportion.

Actually, my money would be on the Covenant rather than the Borg. The Borg ships were fast and strong (although Covenant SlipSpace drives were even faster - they actually BENT space to essentially create wormholes), but they still weren't capable of killing planets the way the Covenant routinely did (might I note that the only race from Star Trek to do so was the one that the Borg lost to). To put it quite frankly, the Covenant would severely outnumber them, and I'd put a Covenant Assault Carrier on par with a Borg Cube (nevermind the Supercarrier, which had nearly 15 times the armaments that the AC did, plus it was more than 3 times larger and had much, much stronger shields). On top of that there's the whole Borg strategy to consider - they focus on capturing ships, which would not be a viable strategy with the Covenant - every time the UNSC put them in a position to surrender or be captured, the Covenant ships either fought to the death or self destructed the moment capture was possible.

May want to change the Precursors to Forerunner in Halo if you intend for said legends and myths to have survived to the 2552 era (the Halo games). The Precursors did exist and were responsible for the evolution of all sentient species in the Milky Way, but nothing of them remained short of a handful of references to them technology wise in Forerunner writings - all physical and written evidence of them was either destroyed when the Forerunners wiped them out or when the Flood consumed the few that did escape the Milky Way galaxy - they were even more dead than the Time Lords by the year 3000 BCE, nevermind 2552.

What Eclipse said - "One Final Effort", played during the dual Scarab battle towards the end of the level The Covenant. As for Mjolnir Mix, never really liked that - the electric guitar was a bit too spazzy IMO, much prefer Greatest Journey. Moving on...... nice work on the new units, Spino. Just out of curiosity, though, will the Sabre be getting shields like the Rebel fighters in the vanilla game? Also, for some reason I've been noticing that the Seraphs don't seem to have shields themselves, was that intentional?

Make the width of the actual ring (not the radius or circumfrence) a little thinner, and it should be spot on. Most artists keep seeming to forget that the width of the flat, inner area wasn't that wide - maybe 2/3 of that, or even half.

Stargate's way too OPed IMO, specifically the Asgard Beam. It fires way too fast, about 3 shots every second and a half, and those ships were killing units that were supposedly on the same tier as them without taking a scratch. Cylon Raiders, Heavy Raiders and Raptors have similar issues - they fire too fast or do too much damage per shot when compared to other bombers or fighters that are supposedly just as strong.

I say Tennant simply because he is unadulterated win compared to the other Doctors, even the ones from the older series.

Just wondering and not sure if it's been answered before, but is there a list for the planets that weren't in before (Halo, Wing Commander, Babylon 5)?

It'd be way too unbalanced, and High Charity is monstrously big - that station alone would take up enough space that only a fraction of it would fit on the map. I would like to see something along the lines of a UNSC version of the Consortium station's plasma cannon ability put in if only to stick to cannon (even if it did have limited range and severe cooldown), but I doubt Spino's going to put that in, either.

lolnice. I take it you resized the Covie Assault Carrier? Otherwise I don't see how the SSD would ever fit ingame, let alone be usable. XD

Other than that, nice to see things properly scaled for ingame use.

SPARTAN291 - - 106 comments @ Mac Abilities...

I would go with 3 - truth be told, it's the closest to canon and wouldn't be all too hard to rebalance. As it is the Archer missiles barely used any power, and the MAC cannons did have a period where they needed to charge before firing, about 10 to 15 seconds at last counts (the Super MACs could fire a shot every 5 seconds). Balancing wouldn't be too difficult, either - just tweak the damage a bit, probably around the same as the Aggressor class destroyer's orange shot. As it is they're basically two weapons with the same idea and purpose in mind, and were of similar power, although the Aggressor's shot spread for area of effect damage upon impact, rather than fragmenting and piecing a single target as MAC rounds were designed to do.

So is the Aurora and Wraith Hive ship still nigh but indestructable? I threw four Star Destroyers and the Venator at it and all I did was chip off a tenth of its health before it killed them all last time I played, and the Hive Ship didn't even seem to lose any health at all during round 2. = /

Even the Halo faction was incapable of killing them when it was new and OPed - they managed to kill off 13 frigates, 3 Marathons, 2 Pythons, 4 Aspires, and 4 of every covie ship except the Dreadnought which I could only get 2 of, all while being healed by the Frigate lookalikes under similar conditions.

Actually, one other thought did cross my mind. You might want to scale down the Assault Carrier a little - it was so big that it had a lot of trouble navigating maps, and truth be told it was only about 2/3 the length of an Executor class SSD, not nearly as large as it currently is ingame. Scale it down by about a third, maybe even a quarter and it should fit as well as make it easier to use.

Seems about as good as you can get without the energy projectors - truth be told the Assault Carriers only had between 7 to 9 plasma torpedo launchers (4 or 5 light and 3 to 4 heavy), and the only things that separated them from the destroyer class was their size, shielding, fighter/troop complement and the fact that they had two energy projectors rather than one, which was where most of their ship to ship punch came from. While they had a multitude of pulse lasers they lacked the range or punch for offensive use against anything larger than fighters or missiles. Other than that, switch the shield point with the hanger, and possibly put a secondary hanger in the back, right about where the leading edge of the rear weapon cluster in the tail is.

Might want to swap Blue 14 with Pink 12 and Blue 15 with Pink 15, just to stick a bit closer to canon - while the heavy plasma torpedoes could fire to the side, they were a bit more forward facing. Other than that, looks good.

It's a frigate, but like Vithar said - looks like a heavy frigate. Unless Spino is using some odd model for a UNSC destroyer, which basically looks like a frigate but with a crapload more armor plating and another MAC cannon stuffed into the lower mandable where the frigate's sensor array usually is. That, or a Prowler, possibly the UNSC Point of No Return.

To be exact, a virus that takes control of the host's neural network and then rewrites the genetic code to match it's own, eventually converting the biomatter into a body for itself. As it grows and multipies it eventually developes a hivemind, which grows in both intelligence and creative ability as it absorbes knowledge and abilities from those it infects.
