I agree with this to an extent, the lack of normal maps made it very hard to really pop detail out of the rocks, but for the sake of getting it on an iPhone i had to have a trade off.

Yeh! Definitely inspired by the windmills, the island designs were mostly complete before I even remembered about the gorillaz video for reference, wish I had looked at it sooner really think I could of pushed the visuals even more.
Thanks for the comments! and yes i totally agree about there being many frustrating games using a similar concept, however through lots of play testing we intend to eradicate the frustration and basically produce a game everyone can enjoy and play.
yeh this is later level, but thats part of the challenge! a lot of levels are based on risk and reward and alternate routes, easier routes will have fences to stop your ball falling off, where as harder routes will require more skill and precision.

To get some better practice at character modelling, spend a bit more time on it using good quality character sheets (ethier your own or the thousands on the web)and focus on proportion and anatomy of the human form.

would definitely be improved without the blender ui, just because it isnt 'professional' doesnt mean people should skimp out on some nice presentation.
On the other hand model looks ace, would be nice to see some wireframes
very cool design, would look 10 times better though by putting a bit more work into the textures
could do a tutorial on this when i get the time, its very useful stuff to know.

yeh would benifit greatly to blur the background and not the object you want people to focus on, without loosing the sense of speed
looking alright mate, once you get a better render we will be ablet to comment on it more, or what about a wireframe wouldnt mind seeing the topology.
