I do have to seriously criticise the DiscoveryGC gaming community's practices in administrating its own members, and the devs methods in confiscating the work of others.

If you had in mind to join their official multiplayer server, then let this be a warning to you. Its community is one of the most toxic ones i had seen thus far, whose standards have droped even more over the years. Don't expect fairplay or equality, because it's nonexistent there. Lots of people had to learn this the hard way. Nothing good can come out of a place that is being ruled by a bunch of PvP-obsessed hardcore trolls. Just don't get fooled by the high rating of this mod. It used to be great once, before the kids dropped their morals and became cocky.

What happened to me:

- i spent ~10 year in DiscoveryGC
- built up a faction from scratch
- made ship models and even a star system for the mod
- gave away faction leadership to a 'friend' because of burnout
- during my break i realised that this guy went rogue and betrayed everything my faction was standing for
- tried to settle the dispute he had unleashed with another guy, but then got expelled by him from my own faction
- turns out all my rights of the new ship model i was working on were confiscated and given to the 'friend' of mine that hadn't contributed anything to it at all, and it was silently implemented over night without my consent or without to credit me in the patch notes, as his personal trophy of the dispute he had with me now
- tried to transfer my shared ships to a new account, to protect them from being butchered by him
- got sanctionlancered and temporary banned for "harmful behavior" with the excuse "i had given those ships to my faction as a gift", despite of having clear evidence and a whole faction of witnesses that can affirm i'm the owner
- as if that wasn't enough, a new rule implemented by the staff forced me then into an involuntary donation of these ships worth of 20.328.430.780 sirius credits (literally all my property) to this guy i called "friend" once
- requests on forums and chats were left unanswered and my ban was also silently extended into an infinite one
- after about a year later, the guy stepped down as faction leader and took all the ships with him, stripping the entire faction from its assets. But blaiming me for "harmful behavior"...

The sheer amount of arrogance, toxicity, and greed of some individuals can't be put in words. One just can't invent all the ******** i had to deal with just for a bunch of pixels. All this just because of a stupid disagreement about RP. The number of reasons why this mod should no longer be supported fills a book. Because of all this drama, the waste of time, up to my entire loss of interest in playing Freelancer at all, this mod gets a bad rating from me.

Don't join this place. You will only end up as cannon fodder and regret it.
